Sims 1 to Sims 2 was a much bigger jump than Sims 2 to Sims 3 was.

Yeah ! I think a lot of people don't understand it can be pretty awkward to comment a video, especially if you're not that experienced in the field. Few years later, she's definitely waaaay more relaxed and seem to embrace her awkwardness for the best ! I mean, I laughed so much at her 100 babies challenge. The commentary, the editing... she succeeds in making Sims gameplay video very entertaining where a lot of others often don't. I really like her now and I guess it helps me liking the Steph0 from 6 years ago. ^^ (just realize she was probably very young at the time because she's currently like 19 or something so in 2013 she was 13-14. Everyone awkwardly giggles at 13-14.)
I tried to build such brilliant houses like yours for many times, I really took all the neccesery time, I used all my inspirations and creativity and they are not even close to yours :) And I am really playing The Sims for many years so I have no excuse :) You are sooo talented, and I guess that's a gift I just dont have :)
I am literally the worst house builder on the Sims 3, so don't feel bad. :)

That's literally my personal opinion. I understand why people love it, and really want it in the game. It is a technological step back, but I believe I explained partially (why I believe) they made the choice to omit it. And I also suggested a possible supplement for it. I don't believe we've heard their final words on CASt just yet though. It's still a little too early, much to be shown!

Thanks for your reply. I really shouldn't watch videos at the end of a long day! I agree it is time for TS4 (your video on that subject was excellent) but there were certain things I assumed would be a given in the new version. The CASt tool was one of them. I like your idea of a downloadable create a pattern/colour but like you say it is probably much to early to say for certain what TS4 will look like. In the meantime thank you for all the information you are supplying on TS4.
My builds are never planned, I just jump in game start building, and see how it goes :)
That house is awesome. You build amazing houses. I like furnishing houses in the sims but i wish i had the skills you had for building. The cheats you use i have found (through the all powerful google) but i cant really make them work too well :S It always goes wrong somehow. Ah well :P Ill still to my boring box houses until Sims 4 :P Hehehe

If you don't want box houses you can always download his houses. I have the same problem. :) It sucks.

In the Sims 4, I don't know if it's already a thing, but I wish you could edit the windows. Such as when you were putting in the thin, 3 pane window at 9:48. It'd be nice if you could add on a pane or two when it comes to simple windows like that. Because I find that when I create houses, I find a very simple window that is perfect, but it won't right fit into the area. If not that, the being able to put windows to the half of each square like you can do with objects.

I think for the sims 4 it would be a great idea to add in MORE base game stuff so they're doesn't have to be sooooo many expansion's also to keep create a style because other than the open world that was the only thing that made me want the sims 3

Lovely House, great interiors. Disappointed to learn that you don't consider the lack of CASt in TS4 important. One of my biggest bugbears with TS2 was the lack of colour options available. The result was houses and sims which were identical to those of other players. Big backward step for EA :(
What cheat do they use to merge furniture or objects into each other? And where do they get the roof ring light things I can't find them anywhere????

I understand that this is not your style at all (I mostly see contemporary and modern houses among your builds, that it) but I'd love to see you creating a haunted mansion (any architectural style which was in fashion before 1920s). It's almost Halloween and I find that'll be appropriate.

I really hope that there's gonna be more instruments in the base game in sims 4. I love instruments (I play 5) and I was really disappointed in sims 3 because they only had one guitar.

didnt the sims 2 have lighting between levels? i remember putting a window on the second floor and lighting up the first floor. or maybe im mistaken
Anyone else having problems uploading house to the exchange ? I only use stuff from the game or store yet it not letting me upload this has only happened since I got midnight hollow .
The furnishing is relatively girly compared to what James normally do, it is interesting to see the difference
is that 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (counting the gym one) ina house that big?? I don't like taking care of large families, but I did actually have a woman with 3 children and I couldn't find a big enough house. I found one huge like this, with too few bedrooms. Although, you do have empty space to fill and opportunity to change some rooms if needed
Can you download these houses even if you dont have all the expansion packs?

Wouldn't know how to begin with something like that!. Do you mind me asking which cheats you use? Don't tend to use them with the Sims 3 (mainly because I forgot about them, other than the motherlode of course :P ) But they really seem to help with building and I just don't want to ruin my game through not knowing what on earth I'm doing.
Write in cheat bar "help" and all the cheats are listed there, but most of builders use "moveobjects on" and "constrainfloorevelation false" .
LkkeKyley They also use buydebug to get the things you cant normally get in residential lots!
I have a question. This may sound a little dumb, but how do you make ceilings, like color them and all? I kinda don't like the normal plain ceilings. Thanks, love the house!
If you go on build mode, it's either on wall style paint stuff, or flooring, and somewhere it will say ceiling tiles or something. Sorry if this made no sense, but I haven't been on my sims for a week or so..
You can use the floor tiles and zoom in and tilt up and then just do what you usually do with floors
