As usual it’s just another flashy GCC project for the cameras and news headlines with zero practicality for large scale deployment.
Masdar City has been under construction for 22 years, and during this time 12+ houses have been built and 100+ people live there.
this is not at all net zero, or carbon neutral, or reducing on emissions. its another land development project by the UAE gov which has done nothing but slap green onto new building and town designs. The planet is irreversible in climate change after 7 more years. We need real shifts to nuclear/renewable energy, carbon capture, sustainable food industry practices, lifestyle choice changes, reduction in imports and the use of wage labour, etc....
Love the project, need to visit this City in the future ❤ we need more projects like this , new sustainable cities
