The Mantis suit and helmet is BY FAR the most dorky and stupidest looking of the armor sets. If I wasn't a hoarder I would sell the wretched things.

I think it's safe to say the art team was definitely going for the Boba Fett color palette on the Bounty Hunter armor.

I do wish they used the concept art of the Ecliptic helmet, it looks so much better then the one we got.
A lot of the concept art for the armors looks better than what we got like the crimson fleet armors I don’t understand why developers won’t just use concept art instead of screwing up what would have been a really cool set
Deepseeker is my favorite. The style looks like a suit designer saw the hunter and tried making his suit but was limited by the tech he had.

I honestly quite like the Deimos Space Suit. I just like the deep space mining suit aesthetic, and the red martian color and shark teeth decal on the visor only add to it
The best looking space suit is the star born space suit imo. It’s just a shame that you can’t choose which variant to wear after you unlock the tenth
Yep pretty annoying should have all previous armors in the captains locker on the new ship as soon as you do a new game plus
The only thing you can modify about them is the skin, for the life of me I can’t understand why each variant isn’t an optional skin you can use
They should have used the skin function as a way to change the armors look to any youv alread gotten
They look good but to me they almost look too good. Like the set looks so futuristic and advanced that it really sticks out compared to the others which kinda breaks immersion for me. That's just a me thing though, it's the same reason I never wear daedric armor in skyrim
@@josefstalin9678 oh I understand completely what you mean, however I’m the opposite. I rushed new game plus 10 times so I could get the suit because when you play a space game you kinda want that futuristic sort of stuff… then again I was basically expecting Star Trek so 😂 well, Star Trek for the gameplay and story and all that and Star Wars for the aesthetic.
I currently use the Bounty Hunter armor with the Explorer Helm.
It gives it like this wicked Dragon/Tiger vibe… in a way.

Been rocking the Deepseeker line for the majority of my playthrough. I really think the spacesuit stats need to be rebalanced.
I find it weird I don't see anyone commenting this, but legendary, rare, common etc does not change the stats on armor.
Those modifiers simply add 1 to 3 extra little bonuses.
The stats of the armor are determined by whether it is basic, calibrated, refined, advanced, superior.
Deepseeker is my favourite set in the game, but I also love the Anti-Xeno. In my new game plus I’ve sold every extra suit I’ve gotten, but I held onto the Anti-Xeno because I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of it. Now I have Hadrian wearing it lol
To me the Anti Xeno suit looks like some hardcore UC badass went rogue and joined the crimson fleet. My only gripe with it is that tiny slit in the face armor where you can see your mouth because its kinda weird just seeing a pair of lips but its small enough to where you usually won't notice it. Glad to see some higher leveled stats on the set too, every time I've googled it the images have been of lower leveled ones that make it look terrible compared to later game suits. Great video, those were definitely solid picks for a top 5
My only gripe with any of the UC military suits is the damn visors on the helmets, I think there should have been an option to remove or flip up the visors
It's criminal that so many of the good looking suits and helmets in the game have stats making them not worth using. I want to use Ecliptic but the stats are ass.
Where did you get the legendary bounty hunter suit to drop from?
The colouring of the Bounty Hunter suit seems, to me, to be an homage to Boba Fett. Whilst Boba Fett does have a green helmet, it does have a red highlight int eh front, and I feel that maybe why it had a red helmet.
The Trackers Armor is cool, has a kind of Deadspace vibe to it and almost stacks up to the Bounty Hunter Armor.

I thought I had lost my legendary space suits when I switch ships and had them stored in the storage box in the Deimos armory. Luckily anything you stored like that stays in that compartment
I love the ecliptic armor. But i agree. the helmet should have been a much cooler design to match it.
I love the Bounty Hunter Suit
Bounty Hunter Spacesuit, Mercenary Pack, UC Armored Space Helmet, and Brawler's Equinox to complete that "thrown together" look. Pretty badass.
The Jeep seeker uniform to me it reminds me of the zaku Gundam uniform they would use for that it matches the whole suit once again peace and have a great day wherever you are
I love everything about the ecliptic suit. Its what I eventually plan to wear on my Ronin. The helmet looks very Space Samurai.
I'm using the bounty hunter armor and star roamer helmet. Without a pack or with a smaller pack it gives doomguy vibes

I really like the mantis helmet because it reminds me of the kanohi inika (mask of life) from bionicle.

How do you get the deepseeker set?
I'm personally partial to the Tracker's suit. This is good because it also has the best stats I have seen, better than bounty hunter. In fact the set I am toting is 'superior' quality.
Just to clarify the Rarity has no effect on whether the item is good or not how you know if the suit is any good is if it is the standard version the calibrated version the refined version or the advanced version. You can find a legendary suit of armor that is absolute garbage compared against the same suit of armor when it is advanced the only thing the Rarity does is give the suit extra perks also the perks that you get on the Rarity are absolutely random so there's a good chance that none of the perks will be the same when you find that specific suit of armor
This is so true. An Advanced/Common weapon will do a LOT more damage than a Basic/Legendary weapon. Tier level(quality) is much more important than item rarity. Rarity buffs add flavor and can make some otherwise mundane weapons quite tasty, but Tier level is what is important when it comes to statistical perfomance. At this point, anything that is not Advanced heads right to the sell bin.

@@ganove84 yeah to be fair he's basing it off of the style of armor but the fact that he includes statistics in regards to the armors negates the majority of his opinions on his armor choices for me
I’m not the biggest fan of the mantis but it has kinda grown in me but I wanna ware armor I might switch to anti Zeno or legendary bounty hunter, deep striker or mercenary

Do they make Superior Mercenary Space Suit? Im at lvl 93, and have yet to find one. Have Superior helmet and pack, just can't seem to find a suit ANYWHERE

It reminds me of starship troopers but with a beige color scheme.
I'm glad there are other people that don't like the Mantis set. I thought it looked pretty trash.
You can get the antixeno armor as a normal set but its just UC colors like dark blue armor and dark gray undertones. But its only dropped once so maybe it's more common at higher levels

@@LegoMarauder-IIIf you go through the UC Vanguard questline you’ll eventually get their Xeno division base set up back on Mars, and after you do that there will be a UC vendor there that sells the suits. There’s a navy blueish colored one, and an olive green colored one I think. And there might be a grey one too I can’t remember. But it’s the exact same style as the Anti-Xeno armor, just without the orange/red tiger stripe camo on it. They’re called the Urban Assault Armor or War Dog Armor or something like that. They’re kinda expensive though.

@@joshuamartinez6381 I haven’t played Starfield in months, but it’s on Mars in the Red Devils base, there’s a UC lieutenant or something that acts as a vendor, I forget his name. But you obviously have to progress the questline enough to where the base is occupied by the UC again.

@@bigcountry8800 ??? It is not hard to farm gear. Just takes patience. Listen to long form conversation as you savescum reload your level 97 mythic spacer who is at a sliver of health on hardest difficulty while you wait with insane firepower to finish him off.
The Mantis suit looks goofy af. It looks like a hazmat suit or clean suit or something. The helmet is badass though. I usually combine the Mantis helmet with the Bounty Hunter suit to give off those armored Boba Fett vibes. It’s a pretty cool look and what I rock most of the time. Don’t think I’ve taken it off since I’ve gotten it. I actually got the Mantis helmet and the Bounty Hunter suit both on the Mantis mission. Before you talk to what’s his face who gives you the turret puzzle code, there’s a cot back towards the entrance of that room where you came in and beside it is a suit of Bounty Hunter armor. Left that mission looking clean af 🔥
How do you farm whole sets , suit helmet pack ?
My favourite aesthetic is the Mercury spacesuit, followed by the Explorer spacesuit.
Of course I think all starborn spacesuits are better than all other spacesuits in terms of looks but I almost never wear them because they take up all 3 slots.
I liked the Ranger spacesuit, shame it doesn't get added to the loot table after finishing the quest and for some reason isnt even a legendary given its unique.

I'm Starfield they have all this space travel tech but you still have to approach your companion normally to talk. Surely they would have radios in spacesuits as they did in the Apollo missions in the late 60s. Plus if on a planet with no atmosphere would sound travel?
I don't think that there is a set bonus for wearing complete sets, so mix and match. I use the Ecliptic armor and pack with a couple of different helmets. Deepcore, Va'ruun, and Shocktrooper helmets all work pretty well.
My favorite is the Shocktrooper armor set. I also like the UC Marine armor with the shielded faceplate helmet. Like the anti-Xeno but without the extra plates and gaudy "camouflage" pattern.
Uhh, the rarity of an item does NOT determine its def bonus. Rarity effects bonus effects only, damage and defence is determined by calibrated, refined, advanced, and superior.
There is also the quality of the armor ranging from quality, refined, advanced and superior.
you can get a whole set of va'ruun armour in the embassy on New Atlantis
The antizeno armor though it is getting weak by my point in the game is still the only set I use.

Deepseeker armor looks like it would be great for a stealth user. Look at the weight on that thing. 7.8 pounds on just the spacesuit. Yet when you look at the bounty hunter one that sucker is over 20 pounds.
I think it might be kilograms but the point still stands. Definitely a lot lighter and the helmet just looks stealthy with that blacked out visor
All Legendary but none of them are Advanced or Superior which does the most stat boosting.
I got the Mantis quest (level 5) and literally best armor I found. I’m going to roll back my new game plus because I’m level 39 I don’t have a damn thing lol. Also I want to run with Hadrian and I don’t want to do that uc quest again lol

If copyrights didn't exist I would love to have seen the Boba Fett suit used as the bount hunter suit for obvious reasons although the one in Starfield does remind me of it due to its clour scheme. Play on Xbox so hope you guys on PC have a mod for it....not jealous 😂

The Ecliptic hem reminds me of some of the helmets in Bannerlord. I agree that is doesn't have a space helmet vibe and is more of a medieval sort of vibe to it.

Just like with weapons the rarity means nothing in regards to the stats. All the rarity affects is the number of perks that are attached to the armor piece. The tier (base, calibrated, refined, advanced, superior) is what matters when you're looking at the stats.

I congratulate you on your good fortune! To be rid of that monstrosity in such a quick and painless way must have been a great relief. As a hoarder I find it hard to sell anything, but if I was a rational man I would immediately convert this outrageous bit of dorkitude to credits!

The asymmetrical look to the AntiXeno suit remindes me of Worlds of Warcraft or League of Legends. Stylistically, it is a definite failure.
