My greatest fears are tornadoes but I'm aware hurricanes can be way worst since they are bigger and release way more Energy. If a hurricane could reach 300 mph and strike an area like new year nothing would be left. I love hurricanes and they are my favorite natural disasters(the ones I am interest the most)the reason of why they don't scare me is because they can be predicted and avoided by evacuating. But something that would give me chills is the a mount of destruction and death the can cause, if a hurricane of this magnitude could hit landfall, and specially in a area below sea level like new york i would be left speechless with dread.

I'm from NY, We had Gloria in 1985 and Bob in 1991 come very close but they were both under Cat 2. Then Sandy, a 80 MPH Cat 1 did MAJOR damage. One of these days major Hurricane will strike again

Hurricane force winds is sustained speeds averaging 72 mph.This requires tropical sea temperatures.In somewhere like NYC it would be a one in 300 year event.Or something similar.
@@nihilistcentraluk442 Actually Hurricane force winds are 74 MPH or greater. And also Connecticut has had several "Major" Hirricanes in history. You can just go look back at the 1938 Hurricane. Also 1954 had one Cat 2 and a damaging Category 3 Hurricane. So yeah this isnt that far fetched.

Jeez, SPCHermitage 1258. That hurricane reminds me of a category 10 hurricane called, the Super Typhoon. You know, the Super Typhoon? A category 10 hurricane that was the worlds humongous and gigantic cataclysmic hurricane discovered by the National Weather Service, and the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration?
220 MPH winds wouldn’t cause one WTC to collapse, there will be lots of severely damaged, lowrise buildings. The high-rise buildings would most likely have shattered windows, and some of the stronger are brownstone apartment (6-15 story) Buildings might have busted windows and the facades would be damaged. These structures are very, very sturdy, and are absolutely able to withstand high end CAT5 winds
