    The problem is thinking Hispanic/latin is a race, that people who speak spanish are all brown and indian looking. Hispanic is a cultural/language thing, it means anything "related to Spain". Same meaning as "Anglo" for the anglo world.
    Her father is not Danish, he's Argentine of Danish descent. Would you say all Danish descent americans are not americans but Danish ? no, but deep inside you probably think black americans are actually africans and not real americans. right ?

      Either way, her father is still white. By the way, if her father was of Japanese descent, but born and raised in Argentina, would you call him Hispanic? Something tells me no, you would not.

    Im from argentina, and most of people in here are white because lots of inmigrants mainly from Italy and spain came to our country during the second war world

    i read that her mother was born in Arizona to mexican parents then traveled down to mexico where she grew up and her dad is argentino so i shes proud of her roots let her be

    my sister has milky white skin and nobody ever thinks shes mexican, people talk shitt about mexicans all the time around us thinking we aren't mexican... but uhhh we are mexican those people are just plain dumb to think we can't be diversed in looks.

    I'm brown skinned. I'm native american (taino), spanish (caucasian) and (ghanaian) african, so I'm tri-racial. I was born in Dominican Republic and my friends can't understand that Hispanic is mixed. That it is not a race, but solely an ethnicity. Like being Arab, arabs are caucasian, but they have their own "ethnicity".

    Hispanics do come in very different colors! I am Latina and I have blond hair, and blue eyes, plus pale skin, on the other hand my sister has green eyes and black hair, so yeah we do come in different colors.

    if you live and grew up in Mexico that makes you mexican, it's not like you can "look" mexican anyways since hispanic isn't a race

    That's not true. It may be right that about 97% of Argentine people have European blood, but the percentaje of white people is quite below that number because of mixture. I'm from Argentina, and racial/ethnicity issues don't concern to papulation census, but for what I see, people here is like 70-75% white. In Mexico there was more mixing, I've heard that less than 17% of Mexicans are white. However, you're right by saying Hispanic heritage is cultural.

    I'm Argentinian and I have a white skin, and in Latin America a lot of people have white skin but the United States doesn't know nothing about that because they live in their own bubble. The mostly, So sad.

    Latin = Latium : region in Italy where the original roman peoples came from. 2. ancient language spoken by this people 3. Anything related to the romance languages countries which were part of the ancient roman empire. Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Romania plus other countries in the world where those languages are spoken. Including a region of switzerland where they speak Romansche.
    Petty much nothing to do with your understanding of latin as a race of brown spanish speaking people.

    Well, the convention of growing up in a Spanish-speaking environment makes you Hispanic, I guess, even though she grew up in Houston and her father is Danish and her mother is German/French. It's really ridiculous to call her Hispanic, but since that's the languages her parents speak, it's the convention.

    97% of Argentinean people are of exclusively white descent, as are 60% of Mexicans.
    Most people of Hispanic descent came from Spain where people are by and large naturally dark-featured and tan.
    I don't see your point. Hispanic heritage is cultural, not racial, just like being Irish or Polish is cultural not racial.

    Right, Hispanic/Latin is like saying you are "American" (but in a slightly different way) cuz you can be born in Europe (Spain) or the Americas (USA, or Latin America of elsewhere) but if you have a parent of (Spanish speaking decent) you are part of the club (or yourself), hence Cameron "Diaz" Christina "Aguilera" Zoe "Saldaña" get a life people why must this even be explained or clarified, "stereotype!"

    Americans usually think that Spanish speaking people = Brown Skin.
    And that Latin America = Brown people. I know, sad right?
    What most Americans dont know is that Latin America is very diverse and that there are all types of people living in it, from Asian, to African, Arab, Europeans and more. Here are the Latin countries with the largest populations of Whites;
    Brazii; around 105 Million
    Argentina; around 35 Million
    Mexico; around 20 Million
    Percentage wise;
    Uruguay
    Argentina
    Brazil

    Hispanic is not a race! She's of German, Dutch and French decent, but her parents were born in Latin America!
