The problem is thinking Hispanic/latin is a race, that people who speak spanish are all brown and indian looking. Hispanic is a cultural/language thing, it means anything "related to Spain". Same meaning as "Anglo" for the anglo world. Her father is not Danish, he's Argentine of Danish descent. Would you say all Danish descent americans are not americans but Danish ? no, but deep inside you probably think black americans are actually africans and not real americans. right ?
Either way, her father is still white. By the way, if her father was of Japanese descent, but born and raised in Argentina, would you call him Hispanic? Something tells me no, you would not.
Im from argentina, and most of people in here are white because lots of inmigrants mainly from Italy and spain came to our country during the second war world
i read that her mother was born in Arizona to mexican parents then traveled down to mexico where she grew up and her dad is argentino so i shes proud of her roots let her be
Thanks for posting. Love Alexis Bledel! She is so incredible, beautiful and talented!!! Great interview! Love and Miss Gilmore Girls so so much!!! =)=)=)
my sister has milky white skin and nobody ever thinks shes mexican, people talk shitt about mexicans all the time around us thinking we aren't mexican... but uhhh we are mexican those people are just plain dumb to think we can't be diversed in looks.
I'm brown skinned. I'm native american (taino), spanish (caucasian) and (ghanaian) african, so I'm tri-racial. I was born in Dominican Republic and my friends can't understand that Hispanic is mixed. That it is not a race, but solely an ethnicity. Like being Arab, arabs are caucasian, but they have their own "ethnicity".
Hispanics do come in very different colors! I am Latina and I have blond hair, and blue eyes, plus pale skin, on the other hand my sister has green eyes and black hair, so yeah we do come in different colors.
According to her and wikipedia... Her mother was brought out to Mexico, not mexican!...Read more: Bledel was born Kimberly Alexis Bledel in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Nanette (née Dozier), who worked as a gift processor and flight attendant, and Martin Bledel.[1][2] She has a younger brother, Eric.[3] Her father was born and raised in Argentina.
Lol in every video, all everyone ever comments about is her ethnicity. Who the hell cares what race she is? She's gorgeous and a good actress and that's what matters.
Her paternal grandfather, Enrique Einar Bledel Huus, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to parents who were of Danish descent; Enrique was Vice President of Coca-Cola Latin America and the Coca-Cola Inter-American Corporation. Alexis Bledel's paternal grandmother, Jean (Campbell), was originally from New York.[6][7][8] Alexis' mother, Nanette, was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and had moved to Guadalajara, Mexico, at the age of eight; Nanette was raised there, and in Mexico City.
her mum was brought out in Mexico but isnt mexican , their parents arent mexican either , but his father was from Argentina also their parents were Argentinian
That's not true. It may be right that about 97% of Argentine people have European blood, but the percentaje of white people is quite below that number because of mixture. I'm from Argentina, and racial/ethnicity issues don't concern to papulation census, but for what I see, people here is like 70-75% white. In Mexico there was more mixing, I've heard that less than 17% of Mexicans are white. However, you're right by saying Hispanic heritage is cultural. Greetings.
she seems a little calm and relaxed in this interview which is good and all but I kinda found it attractive when she was a bit shy, Idk maybe some ppl did too or maybe it's just me but I found her very attracting in Traverling Pants 2 cuz she was so shy
@r2ramone Amo Brasil y se que hay un monton de gente hermosa de todos los colores aunque eso no es lo importante si no los valores. Yo estuve en Brasil en dos oportunidades y la gente es maravillosa :) volvería mil veces. Saludos hermano brasilero.
I'm Argentinian and I have a white skin, and in Latin America a lot of people have white skin but the United States doesn't know nothing about that because they live in their own bubble. The mostly, So sad.
Japanese Americans, Asians Brits, and others have the exact same experience! It's mildly annoying at times, that people with phds can be so ignorant, but hey what can ya do?

Jessica Coch es mitad Mexicana y mitad argentina. Solo busquen en google para que vean que ella esta más blanca que Alexis Bledel. Jessica es un ejemplo. Jessica Coch is another example of being half Mexican and half argentinian. Just go to google ans search her name and there you will find that she's whiter than her. ANOTHER THING is that Northern Mexicans, Tapatíos Mexicans, Alteños Mexicans have more white people. go to this blog: iheartmexicangirls.tumblr.com and you will find mexican girls
Well, the convention of growing up in a Spanish-speaking environment makes you Hispanic, I guess, even though she grew up in Houston and her father is Danish and her mother is German/French. It's really ridiculous to call her Hispanic, but since that's the languages her parents speak, it's the convention.
@@Crusader1815 Her father was born in Argentina and she identifies as hispanic. I don't see the problem with that. She is hispanic after all, she is not saying she is a mouse....
97% of Argentinean people are of exclusively white descent, as are 60% of Mexicans. Most people of Hispanic descent came from Spain where people are by and large naturally dark-featured and tan. I don't see your point. Hispanic heritage is cultural, not racial, just like being Irish or Polish is cultural not racial.
Right, Hispanic/Latin is like saying you are "American" (but in a slightly different way) cuz you can be born in Europe (Spain) or the Americas (USA, or Latin America of elsewhere) but if you have a parent of (Spanish speaking decent) you are part of the club (or yourself), hence Cameron "Diaz" Christina "Aguilera" Zoe "Saldaña" get a life people why must this even be explained or clarified, "stereotype!"

She was raised in the USA but she’s LATINA! If she was tan people wouldn’t have a problem with her latina heritage
I'm more and more impressed by this woman, clever charming...
She's so adorable!
