This straight facts! Never wanted to go home 😭 it really was a beautiful experience
This ended up being sooo much more than a pineapple farm story. Wealth of information on plants and natural remedies! Even growing up in Jamaica, many of those plants and remedies were new to me. Thank you for seeking & preserving this knowledge. Awesome!!!
You're welcome, LG. It was a wealth of knowledge for real. We are still in awe and plan to go back to finish the tour and record part 2. Thanks for stopping by!
Jamaica have all the natural remedies and super foods that the young people are too lazy to cultivate so I am so happy to see these young people choose to grow what they eat and eat what they grow.. I hope they're able to sell some of what they grow to get an income... Just WOW - I love it!!
Yes we do indeed have the natural remedies. Thanks for stopping by, Gwendolyn!
I would love to tour that farm when pineapples are ripening. Must smell heavenly!
The Brissett's are fundamental in the development of the community of Pisgah. Its indeed a blessing that moments like these could be captured and share with the world.
So true! They are really a beacon in the community! It was a pleasure to have this experience with them. We will definitely be back. Thank you for stopping by!

Live in pisgah as a child, nice to see the place again, blessing
It is really a peaceful place, Irene. Your childhood must have been a good one.
I'm from spring failed I used to live with my grandparents we go to pisgah sometimes
I am from Jamaica, the eastern part, from the parish of St Andrew, I spent some time in Black River, and use to go to Maggoty to take the train to Kingston.
I don't know if there is a train system anymore.
I thank you for taking the time to show us your pineapple farm.little did I know that there was such a beautiful place.I grew into a man in the lovely parish of St Elizabeth.when I come to Jamaica again I will be paying you a visit.
It would be nice to get products from Jamaica here. I see yellow yam, but no breadfruit or pineapple. Thanks for the education. God bless you all.
We're not sure about the train either as it is mostly highways now. Thank you for stopping by. And we do hope that you get all the goodies you want when you.come to visit.
The train service was discontinued years ago. From in the 90s.
No man rain could never be negative at all it is always a blessing especially for the farming communities.Glad you can return
We were glad to go back as well. Thanks for stopping by, Bandit!

My grandmother use to crack open the cocoon and take out the kernel she would then parched it grind it and make a hot drink it almost taste like coffee.
This is my place.. bless up u self.. and bless you to all the blackwood family 😘
Thanks for stopping by, Jacqueline.
@@bevianaschronicles no I grow up there
My mother side of Family (Barracks) owned 1377 acres of land spanning Ginger Hill to Clermont in 1831, main crops were pineapple, coffee, and pimento
The soap bush was a treat on Saturdays. I love how nice and fresh my skin was after using the soap bush 💞
It's so good!
What is the proper name for the bush, please? I want to get the plant.
Yeah, we used to use it in the Ridge Pen, St. Elizabeth area to fry fish. It give the fried fish a very nice flavor. Blessings to you
Love this video of my sweet st Elizabeth westside
We loved it too! 😁
I'm watching from the United States Virgin Islands...THE WORLD'S PARADISE!!!!
Trumpet bark used for making ropes in the Nassau Mts. Very strong. The bark is soaked in white lime water and , thus, tanned.
That's quite interesting, Valerie. Nature is wonderful. We'll be sure to ask Tamalo if he knows about the bark for rope when we go back for part 2.
Strictly ITAL.....💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
That's the way we're supposed to be living. Thanks for stopping by, Nattyp.
Thanks for this tour, I loved EVERY minute of it. Some of the plants I knew but didn’t know they could be used for those things. Also, that pineapple/cane juicer gave me life @Ari save piece a di cane fi mi. Keep up the great work y’all
Nel! this was really an eye opening tour! omg. Nature has the answer for everything! Me need fi save piece a cane fi yuh yes!

Thanks for sharing I left Jamaica almost 40 years but I still crying to home keep forming it's a blessing
Awww! Sharon! Don't cry. Keep the memories strong. Thanks for stopping by!
Nice to see my people working on nation building
Where is the sugar pine. My favourite apple. Big up pisgah farmers keep going you know how to do it. My mom has 2chains of pine trees growing now in her yard. Didn't know that medicinal effect of Chena flowers. Nature is therapy. Years I haven't seen the cocoon. My mom had it in her water when we were growing up.True purpose of the annatto. I have some seeds in my cupboard, bring back from yard. This video reminds me of my childhood, enjoyed
... and that was just half of the tour. The rain stopped us from seeing it all but we are going back for part two! So what are you going to do with the anatto seeds?
@@bevianaschronicles I used the seeds to colour my oil by dropping them in the heated oil for 5minutes to infuse the oil when I am frying fish or salt fish fritters. This give the food colour rather than a white finish product. I would love some of those green pods as their seeds gives a stronger colour than when dried.. Back in the days there was export for annatto, turmeric, ginger, pimento, corn but things has changed. A sweet memories.
Wow I have to find out how close this is to my luxury condos development in Black River
It's about an hour away from ys falls, way up in the hills. Could be less though. We were driving kinda slow. We'll know the exact time of the journey when we go back for part 2.
Anotto is also good in coconut rundown and stopapass with salt mackerel and codfish as well as codfish fritters, yum, yum.
Wow! that's something to try!!! sounds yummy
@@bevianaschronicles You should, the codfish fritters taste nice especially with hard dough bread.
@@carmenbarracks8965 alright!

Thanks for stopping, Richard!
I mean children in the urban areas. Even though some of the young people in the rural areas are void of these experiences.
When we were there and saw how the children were just happy and free we thought the same thing about the children from the urban areas. It is a bit sad. Thanks for stopping by, Erica. We hope you stop by again when we do part 2 of the tour.
Anatto used to give the fish colour Puerto Ricans use it a lot

The cocoon? 😳
My family from Pisgah
Big up Pisgah!!
This is a beautiful video excursión, however, the music is extremely distracting. Keep it organic...not everything requires music. I would have loved to hear everthing all participants had to say. Thanks for the video..my parish St. Bess
Thanks for stopping by, Happy Reader. St. Elizabeth is indeed a beautiful parish and we can't seem to get enough of it. Where else in St. Bess would you recommend that we visit?
I am.from Pondside. There is a pond called Great Pond, bordering Pondside, Parottee, Hilltop. Lovely areas
There is a story of how the Pond cane to be! Check it out!
I'm impressed!!! I'm wondering if we have soap bush here in Tobago.
That’s definitely something to research 😊
Love this content !!!
