Edit: Oh and the classic versions of these Game And Watch games too even though they’re rereleased here. Welp. There goes my hearted comment.
Cool commentary, I liked that. I didn't care for so many "loud is funny" moments throughout though. Almost as many cutaways and asides as an episode of family guy.
Funny, I can't agree with most of your opinions I find Mario's Cement Factory, Mario Bros, Fire, and Rainshower to be super fun, whereas Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. are games I absolutely despise. We can agree on Chef being fun, though.
The Gameboy Advanced had multiple Pokemon games, Golden Sun, The Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion, Aria of Sorrow, Summon Night, etc... "3 levels with individual layouts and 3 different music tracks makes Donkey Kong Jr. the most ambitious game on this list!" I know that's really intricate for a Game and Watch game, but comparatively it just seems funny, lol.
That can’t be right, the Donkey Kong one was part of Gallery 2 and came BEFORE the Jr one. How can the original be a ripoff to the sequel? That makes no sense.

What gets me is how some of these games are already featured on earlier Game and watch gallery releases. in Europe this was called game and watch gallery advance which feels like a more suitable title.
High scores for Mario's Cement Factory are Easy 1072, (Easy 979 Emulator), Hard 403, and VERY Hard 1010. (Classic Easy 5. Just lacked the appeal?) High scores for Chef are Easy 1317, Hard 1361, VERY Hard 101. I'm not dissing on your score, 1.5/5, but Mario's Cement Factory has always been my personal favorite in the collection (ever since I was a kid,) and even... Hot damn, this game is almost 20 years old... Anyway, still my favorite in the collection, or at best tied with the cooking one, Chef. I respect your decision to rank it low due to the slow burn nature of it, but when you say "I actually kinda like it, but I don't know why" I really feel that. It's always been my favorite, but I can't explain why, it's not the setting, the music, or the graphics... It's just... Calming? It's a game you can plop in, play a bit, relax, not think too much, but still feel like you're doing something? If that makes any sense. (Also the boxes in the elevator shaft on the left. If you're in a pinch, you can actually wait out on them.)
I really enjoyed this! I had a few of the G&W Gallery games growing up but didn’t know anyone else who had them. It’s fun to look back. I forgot how great some of the music is in this game! And I love the GBA graphical style.
What's interesting is this game confirms that classic Donkey Kong from the original DK Arcade game is actually modern Donkey Kong with a tie since Donkey Kong Jr(Still as a little kid) appears alongside with modern Donkey Kong and they both have father and son relationship. Looks like Rareware is lying about that Cranky Kong is the original Donkey Kong. Modern Donkey Kong is actually classic Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr is replaced by Diddy Kong.
I will never get over the incredible humility the box had proudly declaring "6 games in 1" when 14 more were hidden on the cartridge.

Tbh I never played the classic games much as a kid and there are much less interesting mechanics in them compared to the moderns.
The first three were on the 3DS virtual console, but not this one sadly
However it’s on the discontinued Wii U virtual console.
