Thank you, Richard. I always enjoy your video and I'm looking forward to the canoe trip. 🙂👍🚣♂️🏴
Saw Simons recommendation for your page - so here I am. Thank you for a meaningful post.
Amazing camp great food! I love your style of videos I find them so easy to watch and very enjoyable. Good luck on the canoe challenge
Good luck Richard. Paddle with purpose.
Richard, I'm loving your channel. Fantastic content. Cheers, mate.
Good Luck to you all take cear
Great night out Richard the stoves look great have a fantastic adventure atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
I like that knot Richard. Thanks!
Are you related to Simon? I think you better use olive oil or canola when you fry those veggies. Sesame oil used on high heat leaves a bitter taste. They recommend to cook sashimi grade tuna quickly pink in the center. Use milk instead of water to counteract the spiciness of chilies.
Enjoyed your video, chillis Even made me blush !!! just thinking about them. Take care good luck on your canoe trip. Take care. 😘
Terrific video Richard, I think you're on to a winner with the Fire Trough. As I camp from my motorcycle where saving weight and size are crucial, I have the folding titanium Firebox stove which I love for its minimal weight/ size and its adaptability to different fuel sources, including the Trangia burner, but the duel-burner adaptation is a great feature in your Fire Trough. Looking forward to more soon. Cheers.
Great video.
Love the Simon hat and you have perfected the Simon hat adjustment. Ha,ha,ha,ha.
Good luck on the canoe trip.
Have fun.💖
WOW, I've hit some gold HERE,. your closing sign off is from the Pilot's seat! Outstanding, i flew the P-51D Mustang,, my mentor was "Lefty Gardner," do look him up. Cheers Richard and I'll see you on the live URL.
Another belter Richard well done!! Im so jealous of the Trip! Im from Fortwilliam and living in Yorkshire now so very familiar with the route (take some salmon loures for fishing as there's a few salmon farms on the way with plenty of escapees to catch) You're going to love every minute! Im so excited to see all your, and the others content. I can't afford a fire trough as much as i would love/need one but hopefully a contribution to the cause will help! #bringon10k!! Good luck for tomorrow!!! 🤞🤞😎😎🏴🏴
bog roll in the fridge ready for the morning🤣🤣🤣🌶
should have saved some sauce.....could have made Listers "state of the art sarnie".......triple fried egg with chili sauce and chutney
Best of luck on the canoe trip...cant wait for the vids from you all , fantastic total so far hope you smash it by the time you're all done(oh and be nice to Mr S.A. Blokeinthewoods😂😂)
You can’t be far from the car carrying that lot......😲
Ridgemonkey pans do fab omlettes!, i take mine motorcycle camping put bacon mush toms in it cut it in half and pop it in a wrap very nice🍳🍳
Simon a bloke in the woods does an excellent variation of the tarp tent with two paddles as support - much roomier.
Lovely video thanks, atb for the trip .
Fab video, one thing on the Ridge monkey, pop the handles on the rotated 180degrees and the magnets hold the pans together for you when turning etc 🤩👌and yes very jealous of the little permission you have there
Wonderful and inspiring video as usual Richard, you might find that attaching the handles to the RidgeMonkey the other way around allows it to lock with the magnets when making toasties ! It’s a great bit of kit and you make such great meals whatever cooking kit you seem to use. Have a great trip in Scotland and all of you stay safe. Good luck with the midges !
Good pm watching from philippines stay safe
With a mesh tent slugs and creepy crawlies are no longer an issue.⛔🦟🐌🕷
Lovely video Richard, I fancy having a bash at that evening meal love tuna steak and asparagus. I also have the small ridge monkey skillet it’s fabulous 😁. Looking forward with huge excitement for the canoe challenge kinda jealous wish I was joining. Stay safe 😉
Hi Richard. My new fire trough and fire trough mini were waiting for me when I got home. I'm off on a weekend tracking course later today so I'm hoping to try them out while I'm there. I'm like a kid with a new toy! Thank you. Pete
Brilliant video, Richard, the tarp tent is a quality 👌setup, that permission you have looks idyllic, stunning food, the ridge monkey are brilliant, they do square kettles etc too, very big in the carp angling scence, good luck on you and the other guys on the canoe challenge, such a brilliant cause, good health and safe travels, cheers craig
Damn mate, I just finished my dinner and now I feel hungry again!! Also the tarp tent configuration is my favorite when not hammock camping, I have the 4x4 DD and the internal volume is best described as "palatial"!
ace, thankyou
Donated and you have to love a tarp tent :)
Enjoyed this one Richard, as always. Looking forward to the Scotland canoe videos coming out from you guys too. Looking forward to seeing all the kit you’ve got with you as well. All part of the fun for me. Bit of a ‘kit junkie’ you see!! Lol 😂
Good luck Richard! Paddle with purpose. We’ll be waiting to see your adventure.
Another classic video, that Ridge Monkey fryer seems a must have on your trips can imagine they'll be a few envious colleagues eyeing that up. I just wonder when you mentioned about having so much kit did you think about the idea of taking a 'trailer canoe' to carry it all, bit late now but with there being two of you could have been a good alternative.
Another great video, Richard. Your evident enjoyment always inspires and lifts the spirits
Richard can I suggest that you put a link to your bush craft equipment in your U tube bi just to make it easier for people to find it, have ordered a fire trough mini BTW can't wait to get it hope alls well
Great Video,
The food looked delicious !!
Best of luck to you Richard, in your forthcoming challenge...😀👍👍
great video Richard, good luck with the trip, I'm sure it will be fantastic, your with a great bunch!!
Great video Richard! The food looked amazing. Definitely going to have to try the tarp tent .
You take campsite cooking to the next level.
Your trip sound wonderful. Good luck to you all.
Great camp Richard and some wonderful food. Good luck on the canoe trip
First of your videos I have seen, excellent stuff and really nice to see a tarp tent in use, I have used that configuration for years and found it to be truly ubiquitous
like the skillet thingy
and the river spot nice gd luck wi canoe thingy
Richard, really enjoyable video, a good reminder to me of not taking easy option for wild camp cooking and how simple and delicious a camp cook can be. Instead of the insect net have you tried lighting the rest of your horse shoe fungus in the fire trough, and putting some damp moss on it to stop insects through the night?
Daldinia concentrica. Always makes me chuckle when I say it, not sure why! LOve the tarp tent, can't wait for the colder weather and less ticks to use it more.
All very exciting stuff* :-) Just brilliant that the target has been smashed* Your videos are always a pleasure to watch & I just love your sense humor* Thank you for taking the time & effort to share* You are one of my new top favorites to follow :-)
If you could just have kept dozing for another a couple of minutes you might have had breakfast early Richard! LOL🐌(minus the shell) + some red peppers 🌶🌶!! wakey wakey
Will be following your progress as you paddle along. Have a great journey and an awesome adventure!
Yet another wonderful video Richard. Funnily enough I bought the Ridge Monkey xl a couple of weeks ago, a fab piece of kit ! You need to turn your handles around though, the magnets keep it all together as you flip it over !! Cheers Pal !
Great camping video and cooking in the wild :D
That cooker is awesome! Where can I get one ?? Doh just found your website, excellent looking kit my friend
So Richard, I guess if I was to try your recipe for supper I might want to ease off on the chillies then :-) Good luck to you all.
Great video Richard, I like the tarp tent and there are several different configurations which give you slightly different benefits dependent on which you need - versatile! Never used cramp horn fungus but I understand in the old times they would take fire with them when they moved by getting an ember on the fungus from the ‘old fire’ before moving as it will hold the ember for hours. Finally I liked the drone shots which would be a great contender for the start of ‘Emmerdale’! Hope you have a great canoe trip!
Hi Richard great food good video really good thanks PS do you international shipping ? Hope so
Nice B roll drone footage. Might I ask what drone you are using? I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing. I also really got a kick out of watching you eating that grilled tuna with birds eye peppers. I'm glad you kept that in. I enjoy seasoning my food with Carolina Reaper peppers. Now that'll make your nose run, and you will never have to worry about being constipated. Hehe!!!
@@RichardOutdoors Thanks for your reply. I have an Air 2, I may step up to a 2S later. I have 5 batteries and since both use the same batteries and controller, that would be a nice upgrade for me. I thought that nice black case you had there in the opening of your video might have been a drone case. I'm using a NANUK 915 for my drone. I don't care much for the included cases for these drones, but you do get a lot of bang for your buck these days with the DJI Mavic Air series.
By the way, that grilled sand-witch looked so delicious that I'm coming over for breakfast. Hope you don't mind. Just kidding of course.
...I'd keep an eye on that Eardley bloke on the trip, charming though he is, rumour has it that he's a secret stasher of Fig Biscuits. Allegedly.
You have trees there. Couldn't you run a ridgeline and attach the middle of the tent to the ridgeline? That would stop the need to have a pole in the middle of the tent. And then attach a pole to the outside of the back of the tarp and guy it out to give rigidity to the tarp? I have never done it, but I always thought that might be a better option, than having to work around two poles on the inside of the tent.
Hi Richard, another great Vid. I have ordered your sale trough etc...just to say I know you are busy with the Scotland trip so no problem if delivery is delayed. Quick question, what was the coffee pack you were using? Cheers and have a great trip and all stay safe, B
Another excellent video Richard 👍🏼 quick question, will you be releasing a titanium version of your fire trough ?
Hi Kevin. At the moment we can’t source Ti at a reasonable price for our small production. We are still trying!
Thank you Richard. I’ve already purchased one of your fire troughs, a truly excellent piece of kit, well made and excellent design 👍🏼
A very odd spot this Richard, but are those Karimoor Hot rock you are wearing? I have those and love them, very comfortable!
Excellent video and all the best next week sir.
@@RichardOutdoors No sorry, I meant the shoes, probably needed my glasses on lol
Thanks Richard. Living vicariously through your videos at the moment. We’re in lockdown 6.2 now 🙄
I would like to know where you got your little table from. Can you please provide some details?
Keep up the good work.
Great pieces of kit, the Fire Trough really does make a decent little campfire after all the cooking's done. And wow, that tuna looked great. The only thing I would have done differently is to eat it right out of the cooking pan instead of another dirty dish! LOL! Thanks for sharing Richard. Wishing you safe travels and happy adventures in Scotland!
:)
Delicious meal, I must try cooking it! I love my ridge monkey too! I'm looking forward to your video of the canoe trip. Money donated to such a good cause, and I think it's over £8,000 now.
I’ve done many take offs/catches with my Air 2 and one thing I have learned is not to trust it over water as much as you would over land. On a water auto take off you may notice it sit there and then slowly start to descend on its own. I always give it a bit of altitude as a priority, say an extra 10 feet then the drone is quite happy. Another thing is go easy using the circle/POI feature, water can really confuse it and you may find it looses track and starts orbiting something else or in my case instead of orbiting me it dived towards me as if in attack mode! It ended up in the water up to the props but I was able fly it out and it was ok. Hand catching in a kayak or canoe is tricky but I find with the Air 2 having it just in front and maybe 8ft up and then flying it down and sideways to me works as it stops the sensors picking my up.
Is it just me with a dirty mind that thinks that door/opening resembles lady bits?
Don’t spend money on gimmicks, when you can just tie a knot!
i cant see that being very warm with all of those gaps around the bottom of the tarp
Richard may i say also that your host demeanor is an outstanding pleasure. I'm going to enjoy time here, thank you sir, .. M.
