  • In this video I am unboxing my new Bosch GTS 10J Job site Table Saw that will go in my small workshop.
    I bought this with my own cash so isn't sponsored. I picked Bosch as it’s a reasonably priced high end piece of kit and I generally like Bosch with several tools and appliances that I own being Bosch.
    I give you a bit of a tour of the features on the table saw and a review of performance and my initial thoughts.
    Enjoy and remember to subscribe!

    Got one of these. Good saw other than the awful mitre guage and non standard mitre slots ( meaning you can’t easily find an aftermarket alternative). I made a zero clearance insert which you will need when cutting thin strips. Bosch should follow industry std for mitres which would make this saw more useful.

      Yeah i like the saw but i agree the mitre gauge is rubbish. other than that i find it super accurate, maybe thats where you need to spend more money again to get a saw with a good one

    Dude totally winged this which I loved... Nice Ito say someone doing as they go, so to speak. Often get board with the trimmed and over prepared reviews, so well done!

      @@MATTDOESSTUFF2020 Have you made a cross cut sled for it yet? If not, would you consider doing a video of making one?

    • @MATTDOESSTUFF2020
      @MATTDOESSTUFF2020  Před 3 lety +2

      I have made a crosscut sled for it. its one I made for my previous saw, adjusted for the width of the mitre tracks. Its a pretty simple design. I could maybe do a video talking about all the jigs/sleds I have for it.

    Has anyone found the spanner that shows as comes with this No. 22 (image K3) in the manual, it's the only thing I haven't found yet? (just out of box).

    Great video, thanks! I think you convinced me to buy this saw as I have limited space in my workshop and my current cheap table saw takes up too much space. Will this saw take a 100mm (4") hose from a dust extractor or will I need to get an adaptor to allow the 100mm hose to fit?

    • @MATTDOESSTUFF2020
      @MATTDOESSTUFF2020  Před 2 lety

      Nice its a great saw, i love using it. Its not got an attachment for a 100mm hose. Out of the box it comes with a connecter for a shop vac so maybe 35mm diameter. So yeah i think you would need to biy something for it

  • @megabassX

    Does it have the play in the fence after you lock it in place?

    • @MATTDOESSTUFF2020
      @MATTDOESSTUFF2020  Před 3 lety +2

      No, its solid. I really like the saw having used it for a while now. The guard moves smoothly and locks firmly in place, its a very good.piece of kit.

  • @chriscotton3719
    @chriscotton3719 Před rokem

    Great review thanks for posting! 2 years on are you still enjoying it? Thinking of getting one to replace my cheap titan. Love that the riving knife is adjustable, but can you confirm it can go below the blade height so you can use a sled? My current riving knife is higher so I'm forever taking it out and putting back in. Also it's too high to use a gri-ppper which is one thing i want to get as i had my first kickback the other day which scared me sh**less!

    • @MATTDOESSTUFF2020
      @MATTDOESSTUFF2020  Před rokem +1

      Yeah i love it. the mitre gauge isnt great but then i dont think most are.
      i use it with a sled. the riving knife doesn't go all the way down but drops just below the height of the blade so you can use a sled no problem.

    have you ever thought of reading instructions before trying different levers and knobs and doing a review.

    • @MATTDOESSTUFF2020

      I dont do reviews that often, thought id give you my raw first impressions from just opening the box. If i read the instructions first it would maybe defeat the object of an unboxing.
