I love I mean I Love Mathesons videos, I'm 82 yrs young and I had a 1960 Isetta as a senior in high school it was red and it was in every parade, football game, etc etc. Parents didn't mind me taking their daughters on dates and I would tease them and drive up to a tree or post and they wouldn't be able to get out Lol, I was at work one day at a popular out door restaurant and when I came out 4 big fellows had set it upon a brick BBQ pit. I went on a date and pulled into a drive in and when we went to leave 2 guys picked up the rear of the car and I couldn't go anywhere untill they got tired, great fun. I hope that these videos never stop as they are my absolute favorite bar none. I hope they are here for yrs to come. I've got many more stories of my car too, like when I turned it into a honey bee with moving wings driven by the front hub caps and windshield wipper extended for long antenas , Great Fun.

I remember when my cousin got married somewhere around 1968, her fiancé/husband had an Isetta. I had never seen one before and it looked like a joke to me, especially when he opened the whole front end up.
She wasn't a small girl and he was well over 6ft tall. They packed themselves into his Isetta and drove off on their honeymoon. I figured that little car was at max capacity.
I would buy one today if I could get one at a reasonable price, but if you find one that isn't roached out they go for a fair penny. They're just quirky enough to be cool.

Back in the 1970s you could buy a used Isetta for £100. People would just abandon them by the side of the road because no-one could repair them. Nowadays it's cheaper to buy a Rolls-Royce.
