Did I hear that right? Only 18 FIREFIGHTERS for Lahaina?!!?! Dude..... that's not enough. Not with the size of the buildings and expanse of the site. Oi.....that is so sad. I hope they get some input from other states and how they manage their land for wildfire seasons moving forward. This is heart wrenching for me. I remember our Paradise town being wiped from the map, and that was terrifing.
It is a expensive island, besides tourism, Hawaii doesn't have any money making revenue streams. Firefighters cost salary, healthcare, and pension and the tax dollars are super expensive there.
Why cant someone get those people a cruise ship docked there, until they get there lives back on track???

That makes no sense, 26,000 to relocate from his insurance company but they didn't cover fire???!?! Don't believe that at all especially bc he's still paying a Mortgage to the bank. They defiantly cover fire!!
Buildings and houses in areas with wildfires need to have 'header' retaining tanks on their roofs full of water, and an exterior gravity feed sprinkler system, that turns on when flames get too close. That system would have saved thousands of houses, as it stops the cascade of building after building igniting. Think how many people and pets would not have died too
oh and how they all suppose to pay for that?????????

Hawaii electric better not be allowed to use bankruptcy to avoid responsibility! I commented days ago about the utility poles and the danger they posed in areas where storms are prevalent.

I heard a Hawaiian officer talking about the burned people and that the small bodies are obviously children. But my missing friend is a dwarf and h'es still missing, meaning chances are if he's dead which i fear he is, they'll assume he's a child. So it will be months before they are able to identify him via DNA
