Wow, what a splendid compilation to wake up to this morning. The fun for me was comparing and contrasting on how all performed essentially the same dance. To be honest, I can't pick a favorite, though Chudin's speed and height made the biggest impression on me.

Guillaume Diop also dances this variation beautifully. In general, I prefer the French guys in EVERYTHING. But I have to give Chudin credit. He has close to perfect placement. He never seems rushed. And his musicality! Wow!

Chudin, Lopatin, Greve, Marchand, Sarafanov and Shklyarov are the world's best dancers for sure ❤❤❤. The one who caught my eye tho, is Hugo Marchand ❤❤❤! I love his cabrioles derriére, he executes them neatly and briskly. Very enjoyable video @ BB, thanks heaps ❤❤😊.

Cuando Maya Plisestkaia vino a Buenos Aires hace muchos años, en cada función y con el delirio q provocó en los q estábamos allí, ví todas las funciones, además de Bravos, interminables, ovaciones de pie de más de 30 minutos, flores hasta la rodilla q le tira bamos al escenario, a alguien se le le ocurrio gritarle eso y a partir de allí muchísima más gente lo repitió! Nunca en el Teatro Colon ví una locura total de los espectadores como con Maya!!! Inolvidable!!!

I think this variation requires a particular combination of technique, magnetism and stamina. Coming towards the end of the ballet, it's a real test - particularly to figure out where you are going to be able to take a breath! I admire all these dancers, but particularly Shklyarov, Marchand and Sarafanov. Question: Are the Paris Opera Ballet and the Bolshoi the companies that most regularly perform Etudes? Plus the Danes?

Tecnicamente prima Sarafanov e poi Marchand, ma io ho preferito il danese, a riprova che quando c'e' stile la tecnica puo' anche non essere un virtuosismo continuo. E oltretutto ho l impressione che sia l unico con la musica al ritmo non rallentato.
As always the Russians are the best...... but, in my opinion, Chudin is unattainable, even if Sarafanov and Shklyarov are close behind him. Lately Belyakov has been catching up with him. Perhaps.......

Once you’ve seen Tsiskaridze dance mazurka ( Paquita), nobody comes close. It’s all about style.
