This Lady should be much more famous than she is! Should a soulful voice and great songwriter.

I've only recently found Shannon. This is one of my favorite songs. She's great.
I will recommend that if you want to compliment her, don't try to say whom you think she sound "like". That's rarely a compliment. But yeah, I agree with all of you. I saw her on the back of a flatbed truck in the Tig Notaro special. Searched her out and glad I did.
I agree. Shannon's voice is incomparable.
I was so disappointed when I saw her live and there may have been 25 other people there. She deserves so much more attention. She was excellent live.

Ms. McNally, this is your masterpiece. The live recording on North American Ghost Music is the best one. Pale Moon tells a story very close to my heart. You are truly a superb singer/songwriter and deserve much more recognition for the amazing artist you are. I've been a fan from the beginning and will continue to be 💙

I found this song on a Putomayo Records compilation. It was either "Putomayo Presents Americana" or "...American Folk". I don't have the CD in front of me at the moment, but I've been in love with her music ever since.
