As a young player, Mikael Granlund was the most inspring player in Finland and in the Finnish national team, fighting spirit like Saku Koivu and skilful, especially in passing. He has never kind of found that level in NHL, there has never been that amount of joy in his playing than in Finland - except now. I feel there is real joy in his and Sharks' game. They do not care, where they are in standings or what their roster looks like "on paper", they just enjoy playing with high spirits. Really nice to see Mikael blooming.
He had a couple really nice seasons in Minnesota, but there were always periods where he would go invisible. I always wondered if he didn't get inside his own head too much instead of playing free and easy.
He played good in Nashville too... Ya hes awesome… fun to watch… Glad they appreciate his worth and have him in 1st line. He deserves it. Hes such a good passer and has such a good eye for the game. Hope he can keep it up.
William Eklund is looking like a special player, he looks more confident and since he's making great passes, I could see his assist total rising too.
Eklund is really starting to come into his own. The sharks were careful with his development and it is bearing fruit. All the poor things Doug Wilson did towards the end of his tenure here, we still have to give him credit for drafting Eklund.

I've said this for over a week now: The Sharks are a threat, now.
Being a Sharks, Dolphins and Raptors fan I never would have thought like 3 weeks ago that the Sharks would be the team I have the most faith in and enjoy watching. Especially since the Dolphins even with the terrible loss are still in 2nd place but still worried about all the injuries and brutal schedule. Meanwhile I know the odds of Sharks making a push for the playoffs are highly unlikely unless they go on a long winning streak soon or continue to go 6-2-2 in 10 game stretches. But that might be one of the reasons I have the most fun watching them right now because I have zero expectations or hopes. So can just watch the games with not much stress. Meanwhile watching the Dolphins just makes my heart want to explode with the stress.

@@brando7266 Yea I became a fan in 2001. So I have literally never seen them win a playoff game in the 21 years I have been a fan. Honestly if I had a choice of the Dolphins missing the playoffs but the Sharks would somehow make the playoffs. I would pick that option I mean I want nothing more than Dolphins to win a playoff game. But just think the Sharks somehow making the playoffs would be such a crazy story going from looking like the worst team in maybe NHL history to now being 6-2-2 in their last 10. I know the odds or very unlikely at this point unless they go on like a 8 to 9 game win streak or win 12 of the next 16 or something. But hey if they keep up their play as of late who knows what could happen.

Mikael Granlund is playing some of the best Hockey of his Career right now. Dude is an absolute MENACE out there. So Happy to see Eklund and Zetterlund picking up details of Granlunds game. Mike Grier is looking like an absolute Genius with that Karlsson and Meier trade right now.
I was at the game tonight, my first hockey game since seeing the bruins with my older cousin when I was a kid. I’ve never been the biggest hockey fan but even I can tell they played well, was a good vibe all around
