Anyone saying this technique should be banned is a hypocrite. You can literally rip a knee to shreds in a leglock, and the only difference is you can tap to a leg lock. But what if you tap and the ref doesn’t get there in time, and now you’ve torn everything up in your knee? Should we ban jiu jitsu aswell?!
You can tap to a leg lock and save your career but you can’t tap to someone kicking your knee backwards I still don’t think it should be banned but it’s definitely dirty
You can play the "If" game until the sun comes up. Doesn't make your argument any better. Bottom line is you can tap AND defend against a leg lock. An oblique kick cannot be tapped to and you have to block it preemtively. The only knee injuries you see from leg locks are from stubborn people who don't tap.
They signed up for it. Their job is to fight, and their goal is to win. If they don't want to get hit by a kick to the knee, then they should learn how to properly defend it, or avoid it. If they can't even defend an oblique kick, or at least dodge it, it's not for Jones' or other fighters who use it to adjust for them. @@ryanharvey8341time to legalise nut blows then
In sport, where to goal is literally to hurt your opponent, people are worried about fighters getting hurt.
Stunning.
Use it for self defense guys, don't damage regular folks going about their lives
That tecnic is for scared fighters
Where's you chance to tap before a kick bends your knee backwards?
@@77heven And you added absolutely fuck all to the argument, congrats

Oblique kicks and elbows are the bread and butter for the Jon Jones combo meal
They signed up for it. Their job is to fight, and their goal is to win.
If they don't want to get hit by a kick to the knee, then they should learn how to properly defend it, or avoid it.
Skill Issue.
And before you come at me with, "you dont know shit about fighting!!", nope, I am trained in Muay Thai, and now pursuing Kali, my nation's national combat art.
If they can't even defend an oblique kick, or at least dodge it, it's not for Jones' or other fighters who use it to adjust for them.
They are getting paid to fight, it's literally their job, but you're telling me they can't even train how to handle an oblique kick? Just quit if you can't adapt, don't cry about it.

Yeah- but the goal isnt to cause brain damage- oblique kicks arent aiming for kneecaps either. Blocking vision isnt poking out their eyes. Spinning elbows shouldnt be aimed at the back of the head. Hes a cheap fighter, and always has been.

@@nicholasnicholson7942isn't a KO literally your brain shutting off because you're taking too much brain damage?
