Embarking on a journey with the 2024 Porsche Cayenne was a return to pure automotive indulgence after a 10-year hiatus from test driving the brand. My prior encounter with a Porsche involved racing a Macan on a Californian track under the guidance of the esteemed Hurley Haywood. Despite not initially recognizing him, his autograph-filled dinner and our shared love for cars forged a memorable connection.
Given the opportunity to test drive one of the most sought-after luxury vehicles among women buyers, I was very excited. Having test-driven over 700 vehicles, predominantly SUVs, I couldn't wait to find out what owners have been telling me. Really, what made the Cayenne so special?
In a captivating video moment, I questioned Meredith, an exceptional sales associate, at Porsche North Scottsdale about the Cayenne's popularity among female consumers. She eloquently explained that its size perfectly suited the dynamic lifestyles of busy young mom entrepreneurs, retired realtors, golfers, paddle ball enthusiasts, and dog lovers alike. Factor in the allure of speed, coupled with a breathtaking exterior color and design - such as the mesmerizing blue inserts on the wheels harmonizing with the stunning blue exterior - and the Cayenne became an irresistible choice.
Our enthusiasm for the vehicle was so infectious that a bystander declared, "Well, I'm going to buy this SUV." And at a price tag of $106,000.00, one does not lightly dismiss such an opportunity. Undeterred, I proceeded to explore another model, this time in a different color. In my own head I felt like I had sold a $106,000 dollar SUV. So cool.
The interior left an indelible mark, boasting Black/Blackberry colors that exuded a luxurious eggplant hue, complementing the Arctic Grey exterior. As a devoted fan of the Porsche brand, I've been privileged to host two amazing ladies' events at the Porsche North Scottsdale dealership, courtesy of GM Dave Zoloto and the Penske organization.
A fascinating tidbit: The name "Cayenne" for this exquisite SUV was a bold and apt choice, reflecting its fiery nature. Inspired by a type of chili pepper, Porsche sought to infuse spice into the SUV market, and with the Cayenne, they undeniably succeeded.
This vehicle is not just a mode of transportation; it's a symbol of sophistication, power, and the ultimate expression of luxury tailored for the discerning tastes of women who appreciate the finer things in life. I loved my test drive and felt much like the day I raced with Hurley Haywood... powerful, strong and sexy ( just not as fast.) The Cayenne is more than a spice or an SUV ... it's a lifestyle.
PS: The woman who purchased the vehicle for herself said it is perfect for their two large dogs to fit in the cargo area.
