XY=2(a^2-b^2)
Then x^3+y^3=(x+y)((x+y)^2-3xy)
And frm here we can say we already knew x+y frm qstn ie 3a+b so no need to do any cal ..only thing to do is put sq of (3a+b) and subtract 3xy ie 3*2(a^2-b^2) which gives 9a^2+b^2+6ab-6a^2+6b^2=3a^2+7b^2+6ab....one line ans
