  • B&M has done some crazy coasters before, but this one might take the cake for their most messed up ride yet! Flying Dinosaur features the wildest elements ever incorporated onto a flying coaster, and dishes them out non stop from start to finish!

    I think often rides with difficult terrain offer the most intense rides. It makes it so it has to take sharper corners etc. Nemesis is a great example of that too. This ride looks amazing, and your enthusiasm definitely makes this a bucket list coaster for me. Airtime on a b&m flyer? I mean, how could it not be a bucket list ride.

By noon time, over 120 minutes (broadcasted). During scary farm...damn, the broadcasted time was over three hours.

You literally feel the g forces at the back, that my stomach was going all funny 😂😂. Absolutely crazy. You are right about the airtime as well ahaha. I need to ride it again.

    I went to Japan on my honeymoon, and went to USJ. I'm such a roller coaster junkie but my husband isn't, he was sooo freak out in the entrance of this ride, he didn't want to ride this...but I begged and begged him to ride this with me, because i knew this must be an awesome experience. We rode this roller coaster at the end, and it turned out this was the very first coaster for him in his entire life. He was too shy to admit he never ride a roller coaster before..lol but this was the best first coaster ride for him for sure! Aww..watching this makes me remember the amazing time we had in Universal Studio Japan. Definitely will come back!

    I rode FD two years ago, and was very impressed by it. It was much more intense than what I had anticipated, and I’ve ridden X2 at 6 Flags. That’s saying a lot.
    We got through the park gates at rope drop and booked it straight to the ride. We knew the lines we’re going to be long, but lucky enough we were among the first group to ride it first thing in the morning. Highly recommended

      I really hope so. Phantasialand is my home park and I really anticipate this ride. However, the layout doesn't look quite as intense, not one of these crazy pretzel loops that are incorporated in Flying Dinosaur for instance, and it only packs in 2 inversions. However, I know that this doesn't determine how great the experience will be, so I'm really looking forward to it :)

    i love that B&M flyers make so many people happy and deliver the best ride experiences for them. for me personally though i have a hard time coping with the extreme intense positive g’s. i love a zero g roll or a in line twist on a B&M flying coaster but the pretzel loop just does it for me. i find it hard to enjoy the inversion cause i feel like i’m literally about to die. but one day i might ride flying dinosaur just to say i did it + for the experience hahahah

    Loved this ride so so much. Actually disagree about the shakier parts of the ride. My favourite bits are the smooth glidier parts too but I think flipping from that and the rattly intensity is what made it for me. The twist at the very end is amazing you truly feel like you’re floating in those moments ❤

  • @timokho20
    @timokho20 Před 4 lety

    i rode it this april, i rode it over 6 times, including the front and back and i didn't notice any roughness or rattle during the ride. Also regarding the theming i'd say there is quite a lot of theming during the ride, since it just flies over the entire area which is nicely themed, its really only the queue. When i was there the single rider line was a walk on tho so i was able to hop on almost inmediately.

    The most likely park on this side of the ocean to get something like this is Canada's Wonderland. Remove Time Warp and Flight Deck, use that plot for a lot of it, and also incorperate a pretzel loop over the front enterance. That would officially be the best front enterance in the world and it would need to be a pretty intense ride because it's still a fairly small plot. And we know Cedar Fair loves B&M. It could also happen at Kings Island at some point being that Invertigo is definately on the chopping block but since they just got Orion and they need to replace Vortex, Wonderland is much more likely being that they didn't just get a big coaster this year and they don't have another spot to fill before they'd think about something like that.

  • @TonyKimtheamusementparkfan

    I'd still wait in that line~ People in Japan are crazy patient, and that's a cultural thing :) I respect how organized and patient they are, and they do operate their rides differently, so I don't blame them for anything~ If it's that good, why not wait in it? THIS ride is like the tatsu of japan. Tatsu and flying dinosaur are like the king and queen of flying coasters while manta is like their son.

    Is this the same ride they’re building in Florida right now?

    Everyone who knows me knows I hate flying coasters. But when I went to Japan this year and rode this, I LOVED it! Fantastic ride.

    When I was there the line started at 6 hours and later dropped to 3. It was literally a choice between that ride and the rest of the park.

    I got shooked after riding this 😵. It was intense, which was something that I had never experienced with Tatsu (Tatsu is amazing and has better a on-ride scenery btw).
    Thought I was getting old but this review explained why I felt like that pretty well.
    I agree that the theming of this ride is bad. So undeserving of how great the roller coaster is.

    I would of waited in the normal line anyway so I could just get back row. Yes you could only do it once, but you would get the best ride possible!

      NMS Test the problem is they assign rows for the normal standby line as well.

    I was about to say imagine a ride like Flying Dinosaur at somewhere like Dollywood or Silver Dollar City, but we already have Tatsu. Then again I think a flying coaster could be a good fit at those parks. Same for Cedar Point if they ever get another B&M.

    • @rivertownproductions
      @rivertownproductions Před 4 lety

      Dosware Pictures I know they don’t need another one. But since Cedar Fair likes to invest into Cedar Point I was just saying that could be an option for a future coaster.

    How do they do single riders with a dueling loading station?

    • @CoasterStudios
      @CoasterStudios  Před 4 lety

      Brandon the grouper is in between the two stations and they assign people to the rows depending on which stations turn it is to load

    Granted I am no fan of flying coasters, but I like Tatsu more because of the location and height off the ground. However, this is a beautiful ride with an awesome layout. The drop is crazy.

    I expect it to open in 2020.
