I've been messing with this app for a little while on my Metacycle and I have helped others tune their Metacycles. @@Corn-ped The only thing I can say is that the configuration for a Hub motor is very different than that of a mid drive. I can definitely share some of the maps I’ve created for the METACYCLE and QS 273 hubs that seem to work great for some of my clients.

busbar current is the regen value multiplied by ebs % when regen braking, so you can calculate the ampere value of the regen
Does that make the regen adjustable?
@@Corn-ped yes, in my case I set it to 70amps and 40% ebs, my bms read 28amps of charging, just multiply those 2 to get your desired Regen, 28amps Regen for me is too much it brakes crazy hard so I drop it down to 30% =21amps

if the wrong update of the Votol EM 50 frimware, can it not be repaired or reset?
very informative, especially for a guy like me that knows nothing about this stuff. I just bought a chinese scooter with a votol em100 and a QS 2000w motor and a 72v 70AH battery. What I would like to do (once it delivered on 2 months) is just to increase the top end speed to around 75 kmh. So two questions: a) do i need to buy a usb cable with or without CAN? b) what/which setting on the software interface do I change (and from what to what). Thanks.
you could probably need to increase the buss voltage and possibly the RPM limit if there is one set up right now. I am not sure which usb cable you need. My EM200/2 needed the con bus usb cable.

What is the difference between busbar current and current limiting? The right column on page 2 is the percentage of power for the busbar current or the current limiting?
The right columns control % of power (busbar current) and % of rpm. The limiting current is only when sport mode is enabled.

Yeah. Then it off and you'll have as high or rpm as the bike a go
i was wondering if you could help me with a issue i am having with my em200/2 controller. when i ride the bike it keeps cutting out when i use the throttle for more than a few seconds. ? it will power back on if i disconect the battery and it shows no faults on the program app ,

most probably battery BMS issue
yeah that sounds like a BMS issue or the controller is seeing too much voltage drop and shuts off.
Hi there what's your thought on the votol EM200 SP controller having a rated boost current of 250 amps and setting the sports mode current limit to 250 amps or greater? Will the controller safely operate for short bursts?
I have mine set to 300 and it's been fine...
@@Corn-ped I see that you are setting the sport mode current based on your battery pack, which you say is 300A. Does the metacycle battery have this rating? If not, the BM system might shut the system down at 300A....your thoughts?
I am not sure what the metacycle has for a battery rating. If the battery is not rated for it, the BMS should shut it down.
@@Corn-ped hi thanks for your response... I set mine to 285 amps and the bus bar current to half that. I think that there's a discrepancy between how you described the 3 speed data section of the programming on the video compared to the document that you have linked. In the video you describe it as percent of power in the drive mode and the second column as the additional boost in sport mode. The first column is actually the RPM attainable in each gear and the first two boxes in the right column are the percentages of torque and the third box is a number between 0 and 14 and should be left at 7 according to the programming manual

Is there an easy way to limit speed so it doesn't go above 50kph or something like that?
Page 2 has the mode columns. and the left side of the column is for the percentage of power and the right side is the percentage of speed. Play with the right side to figure out what % eqauls the too speed you want to limit it at. My low mode is at like 35% and it is limited to 30mph.

Hi sir, im using em50 48v. All goods but when i full throttle it automatically cut the power. I need to stop so i can throttle it again. Can you help me where i need to change it?
You could have a voltage cut off, is the battery fully charged? . I have not had that issue
Yes sir. Fully charge when i full throttle test is good. Only the problem when i try into the road test
Busbar Current (A) : from 55 to 30 now throttle working goods. 😅

dude, you wrong about almost of this setting. two columns in ThreeSpeed are not what you said. the left column is the limited speed on each mode ( ex : you set 60% on left column of Low mod, so the speed will be 9000RPM ( in HDC speed ) x 60% = 5400 RPM. And the right column is how much % power you use for each mode ( ex : you set 59% on Low mod, so you will use 250A ( current limiting ) x 59% = 147,5A for Low mode ). you're so wrong dude. anyway i come from Vietnam ^^
Thank you. That makes perfect sense. I tried changing the right side and it didn't do anything. Everywhere I read said the right column didn't do anything except for high in sport mode. I'll try it again with more drastic changes.
@@Corn-ped left column stand for speed ( % speed based on the line HDC Speed )
Right column stand for power of that mode ( % power based on Current Limiting )
If you change left column, you'll easy to see the difference of each mode speed
If you change right colume, you'll feel the diffrence of each mode power . Or you can take your bike ride on road, and watching the discharge of BMS at the sametime, you'll easy see the difference
@@Corn-ped and you said the opposite of the truth 😥 changing the right column make so much difference on how much power discharge you use on Low and Mid Mode
It just seem to be don't do anything in High Mode - my opinion and my experience tell me that the High Mode and Sportmode using the same Power discharge no matter you change the High Mode right column, but difference of torque/traction
