For those that are in need for medical care while in Siem Reap, the Japan Friendship International hospital is highly recommended. Staff is trained in Thailand, Korea and Japan. These small clinics such as shown in this video is not your best choice.
Cambodian staff and run by Japanese founder, not Thais.

Gets bitten by a cat.. gets rabies injections…immediately touches cats again! So glad to know we are not the only ones, who have done exactly the same thing!! 😂 Too cute not too!

@Sarah - Just a polite reminder, to be mindful not everyone likes to be filmed, hence why you may have got hit by the woman or given dirty looks by pedestrians. Stay safe when out and about always, whichever country you travel to.

This is exactly what i am thinking, you go to another country and randomly film people in their country without their permission. If you dont see locals doing something then also dont do it. Please be careful, especially solo travelling as a woman.
Yeah the thought of Rabies is not fun I got bitten by a Soi Dog in Thailand lucky for me I was ok but the dog died from alcohol poisoning but he didnt suffer

Those vaccines are a lot cheaper at $25 than the pre exposure course in Australia at about $100 each x 3. Did you have wound management and immunoglobulin treatment too?
I don’t buy meat and vegetables from the Wet market, as nothing has a price on it , I don’t want to be charged the Falung price

I've never encountered a skin tax at the wet market.

After several trips to Thailand (with short trips to Cambodia and Singapore), I finally went to Saigon two years ago and loved it, though I was overwhelmed by it the first few weeks. Enjoy!

Despite how annoying it is I'm glad that you followed up with the shots knowing how serious rabies is. I just got divorced after almost 31 years together. So I no how hard it is. Take your time and focus on yourself and do what makes you happy. Life is a series of adventures, when One adventure ends another one begins. I am taking my own advice, and starting a new adventure. Your friend Sean and you and Frank have inspired me to move on with my life in a new place. So I am in the process of selling my old life and moving to Cambodia to retire. So I just wanted you to know at the point in your life that what you are doing has really given me new hope for a better future. I hope you have all the greatest adventures yet to come in your life. You come across as super easy going and happy, you'll collect many friends along your journey! Enjoy Vietnam and take care of yourself ❤

It looks like lightly punch to the shoulder, is that true? That is culturally thing - it means hey/hello buddy. I know it is too friendly.If It is a hard punch then it means other thing. Another thing that is too friendly gesture for guy to guy - they slap light on your belly ( only for guy to guy) - it also means hello/hey buddy.

As a fellow female solo traveller, with a trip to Vietnam in the planning stages, I have subscribed and look forward to seeing how you get about over there. I'm trying to find out about the easiest options to allow for freedom to go where and when I want, and I'm not sure a moto is a great idea for me :D

I’m not a motorbike rider myself, I’ll take the motorbike taxis. Make sure you download grab app before you go (like Uber). I use 12go Asia to book in busses etc for the longer trips 😊
Also I find it better to have a rough idea of where you want to go but I don’t like to plan anything too far in advance just incase I like it somewhere and I wanna stay longer ❤️
@@unfilteredtraveldiaries That's pretty much my preferred way to travel too, just a rough plan then wing it ;) I've spend a lot of time in Cambodia and Laos, but not Vietnam yet. Ideally, I'd like to buy a small car and travel all over Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam - but I've heard its hard for visitors to be allowed to drive in Vietnam. (and you absolutely MUST go to Laos. Go to Luang Prabang - as well as everywhere else 😂 😂 it's the best place on earth)
I can't stand needles either! And it definitely looks like you received one! Anyway, I found "Sarah" the solo traveler randomly in my feed overnight, sans a Frank , er Franc now that I look, so here's an early random sub for Sarah the solo. Happy Travels.
I hate them but you have to do what you have to do sometimes! 5 needles total. I’d recommend not getting bitten by a cat 😂

Many reasons.
Cambodia had been through a lot in recent history & the way Cambodian people are so kind and resilient is truely amazing.
Yes it does, but it’s reality & unfortunately some places in the world are not as well off as others.
Cambodia is a really amazing place despite the way it looks & it completely changed my life & whole perspective of the world.
