This song is so awesome, Ryuutaro sure is a great composer! The same goes for all the other members of the group, including the ones who left it. they're all geniuses!
In Japan theres different copywrite laws... So there's a thing called "open covers" basically its when they take riffs and stuff but change the lyrics. It's completely legal in Japan and a lot of bands do it.
This isn't an open cover because the booklet attributes the song composition to Tadashi (I own the CD, I know this for sure). Plastic Tree has done an open cover of "Turn, Turn, Turn" by Pete Seeger called 祈り (Inori) (Pete Seeger is properly credited in the booklet) so I'm assuming that people are getting these mixed up. I'm not here to defend Plastic Tree because the verse melody has been obviously lifted from My Iron Lung but considering that Radiohead has lifted in a similar way before (Creep took its verse melody from The Hollies "The Air That I Breathe") I find the outrage a little hypocritical lmao.
If everyone is complaining about similarities & covers (Asia is a little bit different with Copyright, but also holding much potencial) and trying to make new melodies, there won't be any new music in a few years.. I think it's nice when plastic tree actually honours their influences. They always told people which bands they like and influenced them.

many people proclaim that this song is plagiarized of the song my iron lung by radiohead, i do not think so! 1st, this is even more beautiful than the original & the chorus is totally different even the 2nd verse!!

I don't think so... Do u know about this famous french writer, Alfred de Musset? He said that the artits will always help each others, because they are all brothers. Even if one seems to copy an other one, as long as what he did is good, then it is no plagirism. I think de Musset was right about that, and I think that this song is amazing!
Even if this was written 8 years ago.. I guess I think the same way and want to tell this to others.. at some point, music is flowing. It happens actually often, that when musicians compose an own song, they just hear the Same melody of their "new" song in the radio while composing and need to start new.
If it's a cover or not, most really good musicians rather feel honoured from something like this
