    Excellent work, as an engineer working in this area I can not fault your diagnose. My guess is that this customer has either run on some high sulfur fuel, or has been running for prolonged time on some kind of biodiesel. You can't drive everywhere in a Euro 6 truck as these require low-sulfur fuel, it's why even in 2023 armies buy downgraded Euro 3 trucks.

    Had similar problems this week on EAS - 3. DPF full of soot, regeneration was stopped by failed NoX before cat and DPF pressure sensor. Changed sensors and cleaned dpf. After initialisation truck is back on road. I am from Balkans and here is possible to clean via machine the DOC :D Thinking about making videos, just have to get better in video edit :D :D Good job buddy.

      Good job on fixing it. This truck has had a few DPF'S before it had the whole system replaced. It was only when I'd got hold of it and ran the doc performance test we could identify that the soot filter was blocking up due to poor REGENERATION temps. I don't believe the doc was contaminated but then again something had to contribute to it going the way it has 🤷
      I'd say go for it with the videos ....all I can say is it must take me 8 hours in the week to make one video 😵‍💫

    Hi got a 2016 Daf xf 510 having problem with smoke seems to be coming from the passenger side the system on this lorry has had the exhaust split in two one half on the passenger side one half on the drivers side the exhaust exit is on the passenger side the dash comes on with emission failure and then engine malfunction occasionally
    checked the dpf filter on the dash hardly nothing showing.
    Doesn't burn any engine oil no leaks any ideas ????

    If possible, I would like to clarify, error P3768 particulate filter pressure sensor. Output pressure. Intermittent or incorrect data. I noticed on several machines in the status of inactive, everything is fine in terms of pressure, after regeneration it does not appear, as soon as the flight and after a week it is again. Is DPF dying? DAF XF E6

    When you say the whole exhaust are you replacing the DOC, DPF and SCR? The reason I ask, I’m in the states. We can replace each piece individually. Also, I’m curious what happened to the DOC to cause it to fail?

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the comment Walter, as of 2017 DAF introduced EAS-4 for the mx-11 and mx-13 which reduced the exhaust system into one unit unlike when we had euro 6 (2014-2017) that had the DOC and DPF separate to the SCR.
      but again over here the DOC has never been separate and has always been non replaceable on any system since 2014. Only thing you can service is the DPF. You have to buy the whole system which is next week's video 👌
      I've been unable to find any component that has failed and contributed to blocking the DOC or damaging it, no rapid soot loading from turbo, no oil contamination from a failed turbo or valve stem oil seals. I had the correct amount of fuel from the dosing valve in the exhaust. I just know a new DOC/whole system fixed the issue

    Hi, I have a DAF cf 250, it seems to be doing regents after every 100-150 miles. Also keeps coming up engine malfunction, adblue dosing and going into limp mode. We changed the Nox sensor but doesn’t seemed to have helped. Do you think it would need the full exhaust change or have any idea what it could be.
    Any advice would be much appreciated

      Hi, thanks for the comment. 👌 I know I put an exhaust on this vehicle and it DID RECTIFY THIS FAULT but from what you described fault wise, personally I'd want to do some testing as in my books exhausts are a last resort and you REALLY need to be able to justify the pounds.
      If you send me a message over on the contact page at www.trucktechuk.com I can see about you getting it fixed right, first time 😎

    I would have replaced nox after cat and let the truck ride. This fault is a result of wrong data send to pci from nox sensors, could be ad blue problem though. Maybe im wrong but i didn’t see any temp DTC’s

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  Před rokem +1

      Hi thanks for the comment, while I completely agree with you about Nox sensors having a part to play in monitoring regeneration, as you know we have one Exhaust gas
      temperature sensor before DOC and also one before the DPF. These two measurments are used to calculate the temperature rise over the DOC, these sesnors determine if a regeneration is started, what the generation temperature is, calculation of the amount of fuel that must be injected to control regeneration and for diagnosis of the DOC efficiency.
      As per the video the temperature sensors read correctly, not only from a base measurement but also during regeneration, with large quantities of white smoke during regeneration and a fault being set for DOC efficiency I'd say the temperature sensors were working correctly in diagnosing the DOC at being ineffective at reaching opperation temperature. I'd of possibly ran tests on the Nox after cat sensor if I had DTCs of implausible or inconsistent reading/ low SCR efficiency but as I only had two fault codes in the EAS not realting to Nox sensors or SCR I went with what comes first in the system.

      Hi luke, thanks for the comment 👌. Your hook lifts will most probably be mx-11 engines if they are DAF (cams are in the head).
      I will get onto adblue issues soon hopefully as I will be looking to replace this adblue video ( czcams.com/video/M_w29JErVFw/video.html) I've a book for the mx-11 I'm STILL trying to finish that covers how the exhaust system works, service intervals and how all the adblue works with diagrams that should help you out when you get stuck and want to test stuff and I've some online courses I've started building so hopefully in the next 12 months I should have a good source of information to help people 😎

    New generation trucks are so annoying with test and replace procedures. I would repair/replace only necessary things, not whole unit. I know it's cheaper in labor, but small fleets operators are pissed off with invoices from service...

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  Před rokem

      Hey thanks for the comment 👌 I understand what your saying but I'd say this situation is no different than euro 5 from 10 years ago. If the catalyst had failed in the exhaust then you would still have to replace the whole exhaust, Id love the manufacturer to make DOC'S Serviceable just like DPF'S but I suppose in reality they never should go wrong hence it being unserviceable, this whole system being replaced under warranty, the only cost to the operator was the vehicle downtime which was a day......that would of been longer if the manufacturer had me swapping over every component on the exhaust which we will get into next week 😎

    • @rafwlkpPL

      @@TRUCKTECHUK of course for first owner of truck like this it doesn't really matter, but when it comes to the second/third/etc owner with less service care it's pain in a$$... But I also understand manufacturers point of view, nowadays vehicles are made for intensive work, if something is wrong it has to be repaired as soon as it's possible and get back to work to make money for a new truck ;)
