The actual difference is Commercialisation VS Creativity, Coke Studio Pakistan has a purpose to bring out the folk and traditional Music with latest tech and give out what's will give Pakistani new generation it's traditional music roots back rather then dance and item numbers... Although Coke Studio India had everything at their disposal and the Idea itself was right there in front of them they just had to implement the same model of Pakistan but the money making business ruins the class eventually, that is the reason that in 4-5seasons they were only able to give 2-3numbers that can be considered as master pieces , whereas Coke Studio Pakistan has achieved fame all around the world despite having very low access of market and funds as compared to India.

Our industry has grown global just like Korean entertainment industry has we have a huge fan base for k-pop and k-drama in India and this collaboration will bring India more global appeal. Isn’t enough encouragement given to new Indian singers to perform at Coke Studio India? I know we have India’s got talent where lot of singers perform beautifully but it would be nice to also give a boost to Coke Studio India as we definitely have the caliber. I also think in India the trend is to launch individual albums by artists but coke studio could be a great platform for ones who don’t have the capital to launch and market their songs.

I believe India has a lot of potential and talent in music, but their focus is not on creativity much, rather they are focused on visuals n commercial areas, whereas Pakistan's coke studio is doing a marvelous job bringing out the folk and new tech together, and giving a masterpiece every now and then. If Indian coke studio learns from Pak's coke studio then it wud be great ;)
