All blue and red grass strains throw some of both red and blues. They have always been like that for years. The only thing you can do is separate like you have been doing

I usually get my imports from eBay, and yes, it's certainly a huge risk. I'm currently waiting for mine to arrive and the cold weather is already here so hopefully there's a heatpack or two...or three lol. Anyways, first time watching your videos. Great job! 👍
You should breed full red into the red dragon to get true red dragon, being all red, without the green. There's a better red dragon strain with yellow mosiac center that blends outward into light spotted red tail.
I love blues in all my fish but guppies and endlers for sure I have had some amazing drops from the mutts with great blues and bright colors in the fins
I would watch out on the blue dragons. Looks like maybe the "good" male will grow into looking like that since guppies do go through slight color changes from young to mature from what I've seen time to time
the metal blue grass or blue grass got culls they would get red or orange colors like albino blue topaz you just need to get the best male and female to breed more stable strain

Till I figure out what I’m going to do with them to prevent breeding, what are some options for the fry I’m growing out? The first batch are mostly brown with gold spots and I have them in a “ nursery” tank right now...

Ya i've purchased through Coast Gem a few times lol in my experience though I've had great customer service. They made a lot of mistakes but would always correct them and even gave me a free trio of guppies, though they later died like after a week lmfaooo
Blue is difficult to achieve that's because there is literally almost zero species in the world that could produce blue pigmentation except one butterfly species. All the blue colour that you see in nature are magic of light!

Fish Boy, you seem seasoned enough to answer my question; i have a rainbow fish only planted 75 gal display and I have four species of rainbow fish all in double pairs to pull for breeding. Well over the last week I lost 4 of one species and they all passed the same way in my quarantine. Is it normal to not have luck with one species of fish?

Wondering why wouldn't you just take the yellow one out now and save yourself the trouble of trying to breed the yellow out? If you lose the full blue male you can always put the one with the yellow back in.
That's what I was going to suggest too. Just pull that yellow male out and don't use him for breeding unless you lose the nice male and the females aren't already bred.

How are you suppose to judge the quality of fish within a bag as well? They are going to be washed out and its hard to see clearly what is going on inside the bag. Also are you suppose to just not open it and let the fish possibly die if unhappy with order? Idiots if you ask me. I hope you are able to establish yourself more and more to be able to offer the hobby a better overall experience through ordering online.

I had that happen to me with angelfish, one strain in the tank all died, every other fish fine

Try floating plants or pothos if you haven't already, they are good at soaking up nitrates
