How does it handle rapid decent? Its my understanding auto engines don't do well with that.
Well, why? They have liquid cooling protecting the cylinders from shock cooling which the air cooled engines do not have and suffer from a rapid descent.
Shock cooling is basically a myth.
There liquid cool ,actually that would be way better than an air cooled engine to handle decents
@@utah20gflyer76 shock cooling isn't a myth , on my cessna when I descend from say 5000 feet or so I keep it at say 1600 rpm and that prevents detonation , if I chop and drop then gas it , it will detonate .
