The Suns are in TROUBLE...

- The Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves entered these playoffs as one of the most interesting matchups in the field. Many people thought the Suns behind their midrange prowess and elite firepower with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal could overwhelm the Timberwolves, while others saw the trio of Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and Karl-Anthony Towns as too much to overcome. Phoenix was a popular pick to upset, but, instead, the Timberwolves moved to 2-0 on the series after once again blowing out the Suns. This is obviously a bad spot to be in for the series, but it's even worse when you consider potential implications going forward. Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers faced off in Kawhi's return, and the Indiana Pacers got a big win behind the insane play of Pascal Siakam against the Milwaukee Bucks. Let's talk about it.

Anytime you rely on a player 35 + to carry the team, you stand no chance to win the Chip. Booker not doing his part
Mj though he did it
LeBron did it too with the 2020 championship
@@nickzobel9922 MJ was 34 in his last title run in 98
Booker being put in jail by McDaniels
@civilwarwasaninsidejob7405 WRONG.
A 30s Google search would've helped you .
Not only was he 35 when he won , the Bulls was the oldest team in the nba that season
People are so focused on the older gen (LBJ, KD, Steph), they’re not realizing there slowly being pushed out by the newer gen superstars.
It was bound to happen at some point. That's how generations work.
Crazy to see LBJ, KD, and Steph arent able to carry the franchise anymore. These old superstars are at the end of the road in there career
Time really does fly. Now guys like Luka, Shai, Ant are carrying the torch
KD and LBJ never consistently carried a franchise .
@@matthieusaade3616lbj definitely carried franchises! Probably the most out of anyone in the nba ever
@@matthieusaade3616no player has ever carried a franchise single handedly than Lebron did with the Cavs. He took one of the worst rosters we’ve ever seen straight to a finals. Don’t know where the hell you got the idea he hasn’t carried from
Durant has superteam he the only one disappointing
The Timberwolves have been the better and more consistent team all season I don’t know why people are surprised by these results in this matchup. The Suns barely sneaked into the playoffs and honestly at one point looked like they would miss the playoffs entirely
They're surprised because the suns swept the timberwolves in the regular season. And they embarrassed them, handing the wolves their worst defensive and offensive performances in the entire season.
@@noonjo8985 I guess Chris Finch figured out the matchup
@@jonathand.t.5051 or they're taking advantage of the more lenient officiating of playoff basketball. They seem a whole lot more physical.
@@noonjo8985as it should be heard it every year forever “playoff basketball is different than regular season a lot more intense and a lot more physical suns are folding the wolves adjusted and are taking advantage of the suns shortcomings better than the suns are the wolves
@@noonjo8985Playoff basketball is what the Timberwolves are built for. They can amp their defensive physicality to 11 and bully teams which is something they couldn’t do in the regular season.
Man, the suns owner really put alll his chips on a sinking ship. If they would’ve gotten Malcolm brogdon and some forward depth, they would have definitely been a scary team but since Beal joined I didn’t even have them in my top 8 contenders.🤦🏻♂️
Kd such a fraud might as well just start 1v1ing CZcamsrs for cash he ain’t built for team ball anymore man 😂
@@ezetram774he’s unarguably the most impactful player on the team still, it’s just tough he walked himself into the same situation twice. nets situation would’ve scared me away from ts
You get it
@@ezetram774Sounds like you know about that.
When would they have been able to get Brogdon and forward depth?
Here's the thing with the Suns and Wolves. The Suns have three street ballers on their team and expect them to win them games themselves. They lack a reliable bench, a TRUE point guard, and size. Yes, they have Nurkic, but the Wolves have the Twin Towers. The Wolves have all of what the Suns lack. People were writing off the Wolves because of how the regular season series went. I kept telling them the playoffs are a different animal; and although the last time the Wolves advanced in the playoffs was 20 years ago, they play physical and swarming defense, then their offense comes afterwards. They don't call it playoff basketball for no reason.
It is reminiscent of the 2011 Mavs when Nowitzki and Chandler were the fast Twin Towers.
The Suns dont lack ANY of the things you stated. The coach just doesnt give everybody mins. The coach they have now (Frank Vogel) literally does not coach offense. He's a defense ONLY coach, so the team doesnt have any offensive schemes, he just expects the big 3 to make things happen. The only thing the Suns lack is a coach that knows how to run an offense.
@@smoothsavage2870 who’s their point guard then?? Rudy and Kat is too much for Nurkic. I agree with your point on Vogel having horrible rotations, but that’s about it
@@deezpleez3832 He had 2 PGs that he refused to use by mid-season that got traded. Now he has IT. He wont use him either. I already expect people to say "IT is washed", but that doesnt change the fact that Frank doesnt even attempt to use him unless a blowout has occurred.
There are players that are considered "washed" that teams still use because coaches see value in them (like Al Horford, Kevin Love, CP3, PJ Tucker, Kyle Lowry, Russ Westbrook etc). The thing is a coach has to give them a chance to PROVE that.
KD career has been so n a downtrend since he left the GSW
Us Suns fans arent even upset. We've learned to never have hopes and dreams for a team. Time and time again, superstars cycle in and out of Phoenix. We get our hopes up, have a good playoff run, get even more excited, then it all comes crashing down. 76, 79,84, 89, 90, 93, 05, 06, 07, 10, 21, 22. Just crushing heartbreak.
Yes sir you are correct
Sounds like Minnesota sports fans. When we inevitably get beat by the nuggets we will join y’all in the depression bar.
@@samwood2639 yeah honestly if there's one city I can say has more heartbreak throughout all sports, it's 100% Minnesota. What's sad is the Vikings, Twins, and Wild are already pretty well ran franchises. City deserves some titles that the younger generation can celebrate.
Yup as an az sports fan it’s horrible out here. I am sad :(
Wolves have never even been to the Finals. cant wait to beat Denver and OKC
For the Suns, Booker is not a super star. Durrant is old. Their owner is not a good GM.
It’s about time people are realizing booker is not on that upper echelon of players. He’s been incredibly overrated for the last 4 years, he’s simply not that guy but he carries himself like he is
@@starvvoy I got dragged for saying CP3 was the reason the Sun's were successful but if you look at Book he had better numbers the year before CP got there then any year while he was with the Sun's 😂 yet Book got MVP votes for some reason 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Recency bias is crazy y’all tripping in this comment section.
@@imnotblindbutiloveblindfol8449 Trippin off of what lmfaooo
@@imnotblindbutiloveblindfol8449 nice passive aggressive comment. Booker is not that guy, hasn't been other than in streaks during regular seasons. CP3 lead that team to the finals with a great supporting cast and somehow Book got the credit. Didn't Book fold in the last time they made it too? KD is old, that is true, injuries and age has reduced his game.
You can be a fan and disagree, but actually back up your comment.
AD hitting that 3 at the buzzer against jokic in the playoffs 3 years ago…Crazy how eerily reminiscent it was and Ad is on the other side of salt
I'll never forget when ppl tried to tell me Devin Booker was the best SG in the NBA 😂
Remember when ppl tried to claim he was a top 10 player?
I remember being called corny for saying CP3 was the reason for the Sun's and Bookers' success
I remember being told I didn't know ball for stating that Books overrated
Well....Well....Well
People don’t give enough credit to CP3. He helped bring a rebuilding OKC team to the playoffs
@@danhipol9386 I don't think without CP3 we get the Shai we have now...he's said so on record how much Chris helped him
Suns need a floor general like CP3, a wing defender like Mikal Bridges, an offense oriented Center like Ayton and a offense minded coach like Monty Williams. Who says no?
They should've never fired Monty. They did because they expected to keep Ayton, but Ayton still wanted out. They had already hired Frank Vogel by that time so they were stuck with him. DA would've been the key to Frank's defensive schemes and the team might've been a lot more consistent this year. They need to take their time selecting a coach in the offseason.
"its a nightmare matchup for the wolves" .... nah!
KD goin to the Timberwolves next season
Why tf would we want him? We got Jaden.

We dont have ONE SINGLE pass first player on this team 👺
We dont have a single coach that coaches offense on this team.

@@smoothsavage2870not necessarily defending Frank but no coach is winning with this janky roster
@@Josue-wj2uf The reason you think the roster is janky because the coach doesnt utilize it properly. When they fire Frank this offseason, they need to be methodical and take their time with selecting the next one. Probably should get Kenny Atkinson from the Warriors.
@@smoothsavage2870 nah bro the roster is janky, whos the savior of the bench? Nassir Little? Josh Okogie? Isiah Thomas?!? They got no depth, no defense and a roster that does not complement itself. No coach can win with this roster, firing a coach is just an easy scapegoat for shitty roster construction.
They got KD, but we got Jaden McDaniels
Ayyye everyone before game one said suns in 4 and everyone said this was the worst match up and yet suns are quiet now they were talking hard before wolves are humble regardless
Yep, even watched a lot of predictions with phoenix winning. Let's see in next games
Feeling blessed
I just find it funny that i was trying to find the latest video to listen to when i take a bath, only for this to notify after i take a bath lmfao
😂
Lol
As a mavs fan, Luka was incredible tonight, PJ hitting some big buckets lately
Why is booker so eager to pass the ball outside the arch?
Because Jaden and NAW exist, he doesn’t want to deal with them. I don’t know what it is exactly but I think they are in his head.
Even when it's a video about the Timberwolves it's not a video about the Timberwolves lol
Town had 3 fouls in the 1st quarter and had to sit on the bench
Why did they ever get rid of cp3?
For Bradley Beal
and to their credit, it's not like he did all that much this season lol
For bum ass Bradley "can't hit 3s and is a cone on defense" Beal
CP3 is old, always injured when it matters most. And he honestly would not have made a difference. Do people not realize that the Suns coach doesnt run any offense?
He's a defense ONLY coach. Frank Vogel's defense only approach would've been perfect in the NFL, not sure how he's been able to get away with this in the NBA.
We cooked 😂with frank vogel
as a suns fan i dont understand why we're playing eubanks over bol bol.... Bol Bol has been playing great basketball all year, dont understand why we cut his minutes especially in a series like this where we need size.
They really thought no one would gaurd them😭... I never believed in the suns
KD getting ready to request a trade to the Timberwolves this offseason
Of course the Suns have a problem. It's called Kevin Durant. As soon as they signed him I knew they weren't going past the first round.
The suns need a point guard... when CP3 was there i can clearly see a set and organization. But now every time just screen and run around. Not sure whether is a coach issue
PG doesnt matter when you dont have an offense to run. Frank Vogel does not run any offense for this team.
Honestly, the Suns should have tried to bring back Rubio on a vet minimum instead of letting him play in Europe last season. He could have given solid minutes to help that team.
As a nets fan I’m excited for the suns season next yr 😂
As a suns fan I am worried.
Suns are the Nets of the west. Everybody picks them to win because they look at a roster on paper and be like damn they got all these amazing scorers and they’re never going to get past the 1st or 2nd round because there’s more to basketball than just scoring. -Sincerely a Nets fan
Wolves on Top 🐺
I think Luka putting more on d is making his offense less officiant
Make sure you stick with yo choice . DON’T SWITCH UP AND HOP ON THE WOLVES TRAIN 🔥
Next year I want to see Chis Paul, Steph, LBJ, KD & Dwight Howard line up.
K D. needs to come home to Texas... I am sure Vic would find a spot for him on the roster considering Durant was one of Wemby's favorite players growing up...
Almost as if they need a PG so the 3 scoring stars don’t have to initiate the offense EVERY play
the wolves are just better, it’s sad seeing the suns relying on KD, warriors relying on Steph, and the lakers relying on LBJ so much when all 3 of them are in twilight
hmm where is kd going next😂😂
Luka did a great job on defense last night, but the clippers are not doing themselves any favors by shooting contested jumpers with him guarding Kawhi, Harden, or PG. make him move his feet and get him in foul trouble. Still think it’s LA’s series but they need to adjust a few things
Much respect to KD lebron and tatum, but it is fun to watch their stat chasing teams lose to solidly built teams
Let’s Go Wolves!
If sun's get a mike Conley type pg they can win a title.
Kd definitely forcing a trade if they go out sad in this series
Book and kd need to drop 30 every game and 20 for Beal and then we might have a chance 😭
Idk why everyone I saw picked suns to win this series, timberwolves are more big, better coached, better depth
Regular season suns dominated wolves. Only reason I can think anyone would pick the suns
yea reg season record and the fact that the team isn't experienced in the playoffs compared to KD and to an extent booker, but I agree with you had the wolves as well
it's chris paul's fault clearly. he has to stay healthy.....
One thing I get annoyed of is it doesn’t matter if wolves are good or not, it’s always talk about how the other team is losing or how the other team is winning. Talk about the wolves and how they are dominating. But no it’s always suns this suns that
Devin Booker is not a point guard that's what they missing they try to go get John Wall or resign Chris Paul🤷
They should have brought back Rubio on a vet min.
It's become abundantly clear that superteams aren't an easy way to contention. If you don't have LeBron level leadership from one of your stars it's a disaster waiting to happen.
This isnt a superteam my guy. Unless you're about to call the Celtics a superteam too.
🐺🐺🐺
Tough to take ur narrative seriously when EVERYTHING in these games hinges on REFFING
The Suns need a pg
I think their future is.. Doomed !
Suns were the worst fourth quarter team in the league with terrible roster construction. A jump shooting team that doesn’t take nearly enough threes and isnt great on defense. Were bound to get exposed in the playoffs
7:47 the Mavs are a juggernaut now ??
😂😂😂 the Mavs are juggernaut and the Clippers ain't. I wonder what the media will say if the Clippers win this series.
give IT a chance to run the offence or bol bol or Little.
Those are garbage time players. If you put them into a playoff game, that’s a white flag.
@@aricrudd6579 No they're not. Frank only plays them during garbage time. Bol Bol has been a great asset off the bench during the season, Frank wont play him in the playoffs for some reason. IT was brought in for depth and extra scoring, Frank wont play him either. He's dumb.
@@smoothsavage2870 No. Bol Bol is, to be blunt, complete ass. He’s lazy, an undisciplined defender, and is just overhyped by casuals. IT is barely a shell of what he was, and should have accepted retirement. It’s sad, but he’s not an NBA caliber player anymore.

Minnesota is being allowed to foul on each and every possession. Its hilarious that everyone is just gonna ignore the blatant double standard regarding the calls XD
But sure Booker is overrated, and KD is old. (if your fucking blind)
It's the playoffs
The refs aren't about to call the stupid fouls they did in the regular season
They got blown out by double digits in both games. You can't say that the refs contributed to all of that. Suns are overrated
