Thank you for this mate, it was not a fancy video with Silly affects and high-fiving a camera, but it sorted out something for me that I was trying to work out.
Thank you for this!
👍👍👍
Great tutorial!
Do you know if you can do it the other way around? If you want to use headphones instead of speakers?
So using the main output 1/2 as a stereo effect bus? And the headphone output as the Main audio
And use a Return track for this?
Yes, just set it to headphones 1/2 and speakers to 3/4 (last option in the list), so the main mix goes to headphones and you can route line out to wherever you need using 3/4
@@xrcstrecords ahhh I see. Great to know, thanks a bunch!!
Is it any different with the optical in out expansion? Interesting that some stuff can be adjusted and used on the push but not created from 0. Kinda like push2 and 1 that never got UI improvements
It’s the same with adat or built in ins/outs
Hi XRCST,
Thank you for this.
I would like to know for a not standalone configuration please how to use the in and outputs of the push by linking it to a babyface pro via adat.
The babyface pro would be the main clock source.
I did connect both devices with adat in and out already.
But when I go into the settings of the push I see only internal or adat in.
Does this mean push can’t be set as external additional input and outputs via adat ?
The goal is to use the output of the push into an external pedal board and back into the linked inputs (stereo) of the push.
Then use an audio external effect to use as insert or send.
Keeping my BF as main soundcard.
If you mean in Ableton on computer (not standalone), then yes, this is possible, you just have to select Push as in and out in audiot devices and make sure all ins and outs are ticked in "Input Config" and "Output Config". then you can route the audio as you like
Thank you, but I couldn’t find which channels the output of the push was since 1/2 are from my soundcard babyface pro and 3/4 are headphones.
9/10 - 15/16 are adat
Thanks!
Having set mine up, I think you only need one external audio effect device replicated across any channels you want to add the effect to, no? With audio going out of the 3/4 headphone out and back into the 1/2 input.
Well, yes, when using on board ins/outs.
@@xrcstrecords oh, did you have it set to go through adat outs? I think I see, as having the same device setting on each track causes the fx routing from one to each of those at once, so not so great for multiu track recording. It would be better to send the fx return to a separate audio channel perhaps, what do you think?
@@medenine4828I covered both internal in/out and then adat with separate device for each adat pair. You can use it as insert effect as well as send/return.
@@xrcstrecords ah, I fixed it by adding it to a return channel. Much better for my needs.
