Oh I just love Scrappy Saturday. There is something very right about using what you have left over to make beautiful new items.
My kid and I (who are roomies) have started a tradition where we each make dinner on alternate Sundays. Last Sunday she made cheese enchiladas with homemade sauce (the first time she's made sauce from scratch and it was chef-kiss wonderful) and tomorrow I'm making potato broccoli with cheese soup. We make enough to have leftovers - we scramble for meals after that - LOL! I started the tradition about two months ago as my sneaky way to get out of cooking ALL the time but it has turned out to be so much fun for the two of us.
I love your scrappy Saturdays too. When I get up on Saturday mornings I know that you are the first video I watch. And my husband has bought me a coffee on his way home from having breakfast with his retired guy friends. The wife's love it because we all get to sleep in. Big hugs
Thank you Gail for once again making my morning fun. I usually watch on TV so I don't comment but I watch you every day. I love these page edgers, I saw a laggy use lace as the base and added book page going the length and added a cluster toward the top/bottom. These are beautiful. When my studio is finished I'm going to take time everyday to do your Scrappy Saturdays, Tina @ Shabbydabbydoodah's Mad Makes and Rachel's Roxie's Weekly Challenge. I'm kind of excited to get started.

My BFF from high school (Class of ‘67)’ daughter raises a couple alpacas. Got a chance to feed them one of the times I went to visit a few years ago. They are so soft! They’d just had a baby they called Thunder cause he was born in a lightening/thunder storm.

I'm always being inspired by you! Thank you for sharing all that you do! I grew up with having 9 people at the dinner table for a good part of the year. I have 4 siblings and my grandma and great aunt would come out from NJ and stay with us through the winter. It was always a busy household!

My oldest will be 14 in January,only grandson I have..Then I have a 8 year old granddaughter,2 year old granddaughter,then my youngest son has a little girl turning one Dec 6th,her sister turns two Dec 27th and baby girl #3 will be here around the 2nd week in February,lol
So my hands are full at times,but not as much as their parents lol
I love hearing you tell stories about your family and going to things that your grandbabies are participating in,and of course loooove the Alfie stories too lol

Hi there Gayle. Soooo cute. I know I'm into some of your older videos but OMG, they're all sooo cute and informative. So I'm hooked and Scrappy Saturday is my favorite. I don't think I'll ever see them all because I started out watching almost 24/7 but because of that I've gotten the creative bug again and it's all your fault hahahaha 😂😅😂, thankfully. I was very depressed after my mom passed away for a few years and thought escaping away to Mexico was going to be the cure, but not. You and Gertie got me on the road to recovery. I had my doubts after Sadie but now there's lil miss Gertie. Ok enough about me. Thx so much for doing what you do.❤❤❤😊😊😊

I just watched the podcast, it was inspirational and really needs to be more of those, the craft love and answers about families were great, I always feel my family doesn’t necessarily understand my love for paper…which is ok, it’s their choice…but mom is forever saying if she makes you something hold on to it, because she may be the next Picasso…lol. And now I know what to do with all the scraps….lol❤️💕❤️💕
I love coming home from work..getting into my comfy clothes..getting something to drink..and watching scrappy Saturday!!!! Its relaxing...and it shows me what else I can do with my scraps..way to go gayle using your strips!!!!! So much fun! Why do we like paper so much? Glad to know I'm not the only one! I have them standing up in my ephemera box by my pre-made belly bands. The box is so full, they stand up just great! 😂❤️

When your life slows down somewhat. . .if that happens. . .I have a Netflix series you and Mike might like. It's called MAID and is 10 episodes long, I believe. It opened my eyes to the problems of life during and after domestic violence happens in one's life. I highly suggest it if you watch mini series. It's very well done in my opinion. Stay safe and stay healthy.
