Hi let the bible speak for itself. The bible reveals that the Holy Spirit is a person ,not an impersonal force. Statements such as "It seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us" (Acts 15:28) reveal that the early believers viewed Him as a person. Christ also spoke of Him as a district person. "He will glorify Me" "He said for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you "(John 16:14). Scriptures referring to the triune God describe the Spirit as a person. (Matt 28:19,2Cor.13:14. The Holy Spirit has personality. He strives (Gen 6:3), teaches (Luke 12:12),convicts (John 16:8),directs church affairs (Acts 13:2), helps and intercedes (Rom 8:26) inspires (2 Peter 1:21), and sanctifies (1 Peter 1:2). These activities cannot be performed by a mere power, influence, or attribute of GOD. I accepted it even when it wasn't fully clear to me yet. I decided long ago that every word in the Bible is from God and so true, meaningful, and nurturing for our spirit.
Never hard for me to understand either. I honestly get confused with how other people get confused with the concept.
It’s easy to understand but to comprehend it is another story. To grasp it in its fullness is impossible, saint Augustine writes that you’ll drown if you go too deep.
And his faith grew stronger that day. May that faith be unbreakable.

@@mmhmm9271. this is something completely different. In this clip you can see that god shows himself to this guy. But what you describe is part of the natural laws with which god built this world. God has built his creation with laws to follow(ie limited lifespan, diseases etc) and just because we deem them as vicious or heartless, it won’t change the laws of God.
Also we always take life as granted but it’s a miracle that we even got this opportunity in the first place. And by getting this opportunity, we have to follow the laws by which this world has been created. God isn’t all forgiving and merciful by our definition, his intentions are beyond our understanding. Just because God as the son, was all forgiving and merciful doesn’t mean that also the father is the same.

Bear in mind that God could have created *any world he wanted*, yet he created one of that nature.
Of course, there's absolutely no reason think that the Christian god exists, but if he did, he'd clearly be a monster who's not even remotely worthy of worship.

Same for me. Well depends on what you mean by forever but Ive been studying the bible for about 3 years and the trinity never made any sense to me until I started watching videos like this. Mainly Christians dealing with muslims too.
The part im still not sure about is if accepting or knowing Jesus as God in flesh is necessary for salvation. I don't think so entirely. The reason being for ex. the man/thief next to Jesus on the cross. Jesus told him he would be in paradise but for the interaction it doesn't seem as though the man thought he was God in flesh rather he believed him to be the messiah and savior. I know there are scriptures about worshipping in spirit and truth so truth is obviously important but im just not not sure about if someone takes Jesus as the Son, savior, the word of God but not necessarily God in flesh/part of the trinity then they will not be saved.

I agree the Spirit of God is clearly a person in that passage. To be Christian is bare minimum to believe in the same God I.e the Holy Trinity.

He doesn’t show any scripture as to the Holy Spirit being a person, he just says it is.
Also interestingly he stated that at 22:13 the Angel of Lord is pre incarnate Jesus Christ..
Yet isn’t he supposed to believe he IS GOD??

I think the more I've dove into my Christian faith, the more I've understood how complicated this all is. I'm not saying complicated in a bad way, but so incredible and almost beyond my human mind. How we're able to have an understanding of the Bible is really amazing, as it gives us a glimpse into something beyond human comprehension. I understand it though, and I know it to be true.
Why are our pastors not teaching this. A travesty.
I take Sunday School for kids and I always touch up on these things, apologetics to Start early

That's awesome brother how God used you to convict this young man of truth, and how you divided up the word of God for him just as our lord God has commissioned us to do, as ambassadors of his word.
I think his issue is that he didn’t see where the Word/Logos was actually personalised in the OT, he thought the Word/Logos was only personalised when He incarnated as Jesus
