First, drill a hole near your charging port to the left. Then, make sure you have an iPhone 6 replacement back with frosted aluminum. Take off your iPhone 8's back glass then place the 6's replacement on the iPhone 8. Oh, and don't forget to put a terrible battery in there as well.

A little word of advice for anyone who attempts to do this mod, make sure you disconnect the battery before attempting to remove anything else, especially the screen otherwise you run the risk of damaging the back light circuit, resulting in no image. It may seem like an extra step, but it's better to be safe than sorry!

I dunno, I like using a cord to charge my 6s. I’m very clumsy and I’m always dropping my phone and knocking it off of places. If i get a wireless charger, all I’ll do is knock it off, but with a cord, if I knock it off of the place I’m charging it, it will keep on charging 😂

The only issue with this upgrade is how the Power management chip would cope. As the iPhones are well known in the repair industry for having terrible power management chips that tend to go wrong

Im still using ip6, and even that still holds up really well. Sure its not the fastest coolest phone out there but it serves me well and its far from frustrating. Im sure ip6s is even better

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand the appeal of wireless charging. You still need to carry around the charging base and the back of the phone needs to be glass to allow the phone to charge, making it more vulnerable to breaking.

QI charging is a mystery to many, but like any transformer, the primary side has the power source, like plugging into the wall. It generates a weak magnetic field controlled by electronics, regulated, sensors, etc. The Magic! The black pad is insulated over a printed circuit coil in a unique shape. The thickness of the phones case plus any added protective case cover have to be accounted for. The QI transmitter will tell you in the description any thickness limitations, no different than inside case receiver. They must match with room to spare. So if 1.3 mm thick is max, it may charge or not. Most people will protect their phones with a rubberized case, so check the thickness, specs on the two other devices and thru mutual induction, it may charge your battery. Lift it up and place printer paper, depending on how many sheets, it will quit charging as it cannot connect. It has to detect the QI Pronounced; (Ch-EE) to function. Nice product. I will put two in custom truck console with holder to keep them positioned and still.
