Dear Steve and Shirley, I've been in a relationship for twelve years and my girlfriend confessed that she cheated on me seven years ago. She blurted it out during an argument and it cut like a knife. I have never cheated on her when I could have, I remained faithful. The worst part for me is that she won't tell me who she cheated with. She thinks that clearing her conscience is enough and I should be able to deal with it and move on, but I can't. How can she halfway confess it could be one of my friends, co-workers, a guy at the gym, or even a family member?

Men are really turning into women, and vice versa! At this point, just break up! First of all, she might not have cheated, but just told you that, to piss you off! I am curious to know what you said before she said what she said! Sounds like she was just giving it back to you, because of whatever you said. This is a power struggle. Why are you two even together? All these years and not married?! Why? Cut your losses and move on. Of course, she should tell you, but you can't expect respect when you not giving it back.
