Aegon doesn't know how to communicate to Helaena but he understands her grief. He wasn't raised in a very loving family if you noticed. He's around 20-21

B&C actually happened because criston never assigned a sworn protector to helaena (which arryk calls him out on during their scene). Criston wasn’t supposed to be guarding helaena, he just failed to appoint her a guard as the new lord commander of the kings guard.

This is the first time criston initiates anything sexual w/ alicent and is waiting and expecting because he is hyped up on power from being named hand of the king. olivia cooke said this is the 1st time alicent basically submits to criston and that she will probably end up regretting it…
people forget that Aegon never wanted to be a king in his life, and he said back in the first season, he knows that his father didn't choose him because he didn't care about him, but his mother convinced him, that he changed his mind. And now Otto is still mocking him, saying that he was not chosen, although he HIMSELF put him on the throne. People who choose Otto's side in this dispute just don't think. Aegon never cared about being king, Otto just using smart words against not super smart grandson, he is upset that he cant control him, thats it

Great episode. Emma D'arcy has been superb so far this season. Otto Hightower is selfish but out of the main characters I think he does talk maybe the most sense. Daemon in full armour on Caraxes was an awesome sight too!
Ahh I already did not like Criston Cole in Season 1 now it has grown 🤣, RIP to King Viserys Model Stand! That Child King and now has named a new Hand of The King!..Im not a fan of Otto but him Roasting That King priceless, Ah Brother vs Brother at the end, And Daemon Busting out The Dragon from the end of Season 1!!!! P.S. It seems Daemon wants to be useful and has a need to feel such, perhaps some words of gratitude. I'm sure if people embraced him more and included him, he wouldn't feel the need to create situations to be the hero of.
won't lie everythign Daemon said is true. Rhaenyra knows that and her pushing him away is going to have consequences as corlys said "Daemon flies away when we most need him at the oar" Rhaenyra is the leader of the black on paper but in reality it is Daemon, he is the one the greens fear, he is the reason they dont attack Dragonstone. Without him the blacks would be nothing and this war would already be over.
ironic considering daemons actions last episode resulted in rhaenyra almost being assassinated and made it harder for her to win over the people and gain alliances.
@@mmemori But stills gets more alliances then the greens and Dameon subjugates the river lands leading to many victories

To me, this is the best episode we've had in the entire show so far. Can't wait for what's to come.
I am team black and I don't really like Daemon but Rhaenyra needs him to lead the army he is a very skilled warrior and he has a dragon so she can't really afford to put him on the sidelines or in prison for what he did to the innocent child. Helaena is actually the only green that I feel empathy for I feel bad for her for what happened to her child.
Otto is a really complex character, i dont know why plp read him so bad, he is the only one that really care about the realm, from season 1 he has been foreseeing problems way ahaed of everyone else and has been trying to solved before it happen, but plp dont litsen
I think daemon gave up his jealousy a while ago, he didn’t even want to come back to the fold of things rhaenyra actually asked him to stay and marry her, he wanted to leave back to Pentos. He is just psychotic and doesn’t see the value in rulers like his brother and rhaenyra. He thinks she’s becoming too much like him and he hates that. And rhaenyra clocked it well, he is pathetic because just like when viserys would get mad at him he’s probably gonna go do something crazy like at his battle at the stepstones

I don’t hate Cole it’s easy to see how he got wrapped in to this started as a true knight but was used and miss treated by the crown I think he is a more complicated character than people admit
The show runner said rhaenyra will regret sending daemon away which she will see in a few episodes
I’ve been staunchly Team Black since way back, but after this episode I’m officially Team Ratcatcher’s Dog. I think the show should follow this blameless dog throughout the season as he rises through King’s Landing society and retires as lord of his own smallholding.

I can see the opposite happening with Alicent. Her word is what convinced Aegon to go through with the funeral so he still heeds her even when he's at his lowest point. Now that her and Criston are a thing, she's been able to give him just a look or just a few words and have him bend to her will and now he's the hand. She's been able to influence things both directly and indirectly and that just got stronger.
I like otto's character he is very interesting but he'd not mad because Aegon killed innocent men. He's mad because it makes them look bad.
Another very good episode. Y do I feel more people r more upset with criston in this episode over daemon who literally had a child killed? It makes no sense.
Ive been saying this for the longest daemon and Otto r two side of the same coin. They are upset with their kings and queens because neither listen to them, they both want to be in control, and when they not in control they both over step. The only difference between them is that they use different tools to attack their enemies. Daemon uses the blade and otto has his tongue.
Anyone else notice the parallel with rhaenyra calling out daemon manipulation in this episode like how Alicent confront Otto with his manipulation in episode 9.
I think Otto does want to serve the realm but he selfishly believes he's the only one that can truely help the realm and bottom line is he is afraid of Daemon always has been and he doesn't think Rhaenyra would keep him in check if she were Queen his own fear of Daemon is causing a war basically
everybody forgets the greens cause Rhaenyra to have a miscarriage of Daemon's child. when Daemon was kneeling on the beach in grief, I am sure he wants all of them dead on the green side, and I don't blame him. be like the mad king kill them all.
Re Cole… Actor Fabien Frankel has from what I’ve heard closed his socmed down as he’s copping abuse for his portrayal of Cole… what a sad world we live in some people can’t distinguish reality from fiction…

Rhaenyra is also partly at fault for the death of the child not just Daemon. What did she expect when she said she wants Aemond targaryen, she wants to be the queen her words must be accurate, precise and not vague, she should have sat down with her allies and make up a plan. Aemond is one of the most dangerous men in westeros how the hell did she expect to get him without a good plan. She could have prevented this tragedy if she was more careful with her words which like i said if she wants to be a queen she will definitely have to.

Aemond didn't have much important/big things happening for episode 2 in my opinion...I get he'll be big part of the show eventually, like the battle of rooks rest or even the battle of the gods eye. But not right after blood and cheese. That's more about Rhaenerya, Daemon, Aegon ii & Helena. Most likely be more Aemond next episode tho?
