Roomates only work well in your 20's. Healthy, platonic relationships need space to breathe thereafter. Speaking of which, why has Y&R stopped catering to that demographic? Remember Lilly, Devon, Colleen, Kevin, JT etc (even Summer, Tessa & Mariah later) all getting their start on the show in their teens? Crimson Lights was always abuzz with varsity student life. Their youthful stories contrasted so well against the maturer crowd's and the show felt fresh and fast-paced. Now that they've all aged out of that bracket, no one has filled it. It seems odd that a soap would just forfeit an entire slice of their demographic like this. 🤔
PS: Will & Grace was a sitcom, not a documentary... if anyone's interested.

As someone who is in their early 20s, I’ve been asking myself this same question. I grew up watching this show and have some recollection of when Daniel and Lilly were teenagers, and ofc, I remember the whole Summer, Finn storyline as well, but it seems that one Y&R just decided to ship the twins , Moses, and Faith off to college, and quit showing kids on the show in general. All of the other soaps are still incorporating teens/college students in their storylines, except for Y&R & B&B (which is just boring and unwatchable now, imo).

I miss Lola on the show. I actually think Lola was the perfect match for Kyle - not Summer and especially not Audra.
