    Hauntingly beautiful. The locals often say it is “the land God created in anger”. The friendliest and most welcoming peoples I have met anywhere in the world, with a remarkable harmony and mutual respect despite their vast diversity. Contrasts you would never expect. Landscapes unparalleled anywhere else. Aim you camera in any direction, and you will have a good picture. I can’t wait to get back there!

    Build swales along the dry river beds and when it rains, it will slow down the flow of the water, and replenish the aquifers. That's all I can think of when watching this video, still a beautiful sight

      That river flows into the dessert and then disappear into the sand. It flows maybe twice a decade. Why can you not appreciate the beauty of the wilderness?

    Makes me homesick . So beautiful and peaceful , colourful too with all shades of each one.
    During the dry season I would carry a wet towel and the wild bees would follow the moisture trail in the air from downwind and suck up any moisture they could to replenish themselves as well as cool down their nests. During dry season its incredibly desolate. Nice one Goldschakal.

    2:49 - The flowering amaryllis bulbs surrounded by water were a real surprise. This demonstrates why, when some of these are grown by gardeners, they have to be put through an imposed period of drought by not being watered, in order to bloom. That's their natural environment.

    I am no fan of drone footage done by travelers however this production used it well! One person made a comment that you should linger a bit longer before you dissolve to the next shot and I agree.
