    Will be giving this a shot with my h100i, looks like the pump clogged up after a hardware swap and some moving around (6+ years running, can't complain). Got a Dark Rock pro 4 instead for main PC, so I'm looking forward to disassembling the AiO with a peace of mind, and putting the (hopefully) tricked out h100i to use somewhere else.
    Cheers for the video!

      You can do it with any aio as long as they use barb fittings. Contact the company ask them the diameter that they use so that you know the size tubing that you need to buy. Also, tie your tubes off with zip ties or hose clamps for added security.

  • @user-oc2cw9wm4d
    @user-oc2cw9wm4d Před 6 lety +8

    If anyone is going to do this just know that AIOs use copper on the block and aluminum in the radiator which means corrosion so make sure your liquid includes some type of anti corrosion or you add it separately.

    • @user-oc2cw9wm4d
      @user-oc2cw9wm4d Před 4 lety

      @MrBeast Put colored water where? Inside an AIO? Whatever you use needs to add anti corrosion and anti biocide chemicals or just buy an already premixed liquid. Eitherway I wouldnt trust adding my own liquid to a mix loop of aluminium and copper.

      i actually recommend the soft tubing and here's why if your aio does not fit the standard tubbing ID and OD your cooler may be leak and ruin your system so if you are using the soft tubbing you can tight up with zip ties or hose clamp

    Nice work mate! :)
    I used to build custom watercooled loops, parts from ebay/ali as well as with EK stuffs. Once a pump died in my PC, I lost my faith in watercooling ;< After a year I'm missing it so much :) I have some spare parts, what do you think, can I modify one of these AIOs and expand it with a GPU block?

    • @hermanrwebster
      @hermanrwebster Před 5 lety +1

      You'd be better off using 2 AIO coolers. The pumps on AIOs aren't very strong, and using a single radiator for 2 components would be too hot. Unless you plan on combining something like two 240mm AIO loop or a 240 and a 120, then go for it.

    •  Před 5 lety +1

      @@hermanrwebster Thank you for the advise! Finally I finished my build, I've dropped the AIO pump idea, and bought a "high pressure" ID-Cooling waterpump with CPU support, and it's okay. I'm using with Ryzen 7 1700x @ 3.8GHz and 1080Ti with EK block, the lowest possible fan rpms, and it's okay, never gets above 70°C. If I raise the fan rpms, it's even better in temps, but I prefer the silence over the temps :) 240 radiator is just enough, but it will be better with an another 120 or 240 rad. Maybe in the next build.

  • @David-xr2sc

    • @MrStoffzor
      @MrStoffzor Před 4 lety

      Connection size should be same on all asetek-based aio's. About 6mm, so pvc tubing with 6 mm inner diameter works (about 8mm outer diameter depending on thickness). I upsized to 8mm id tubing using short bits of 6mm as adapters to get better flow. Works great in my 2 aio/1 loop build.

    • @kairukun93
      @kairukun93 Před 4 lety

      @@MrStoffzor Yeah i figured it out, it's basically on older ones have 1/2 and newer once have 1/4", so yeah, it's all about giving it a shot! also i'm adding a more powerfull pump, due to the CPU waterblock+pump from Corsair H100i's has low pump flow! also adding both aftermarket CPU water block and extra rad! can't wait to put them together! at the moment, went ahead and refilled and top out the current cooler, it actually made some difference like 7 C cooler. :)
