Next vid on the AIO modding....adding a reservoir :)
Coalition Gaming yes please
any link with the reservoir mod? or you dropped the idea
dont use food color it has stuff like sugars and things not suitable for metals
there are no sugars in food dyes...
You shouldn't use food color but food color has no sugar in it.
Just get new coolant…
Sweet, I just grabbed the last 20' bit of the EZ flow tubing from my local Lowes! Thanks so much for your video. 8) Time to get to work...
Man, Thank, you for this video! it started me on my builds years ago!
Will be giving this a shot with my h100i, looks like the pump clogged up after a hardware swap and some moving around (6+ years running, can't complain). Got a Dark Rock pro 4 instead for main PC, so I'm looking forward to disassembling the AiO with a peace of mind, and putting the (hopefully) tricked out h100i to use somewhere else.
Cheers for the video!
what size tubing did you use? And which side of the CPU cooling block is the intake and output?
Love it. So simple I'mma try this bro
I'm here in 2021. Thanks for the inspiration!
I have a deepcool captain 240EX RGB, dying to know if I can do hard tube. The block is what makes this AIO, but to have clear hard tubes would make it all the more nicer!
This was super helpful - I was about to just toss a "proprietary" AIO cooler from an HP omen where I am recycling the parts into a better gaming PC. The AIO is actually a cooler master with really short hoses. PROBLEM SOLVED !
Looks good👍🏼👍🏼.. I have a H100i GTX and was thinking about modding it and adding a reservoir.
@@AEON. Thank you
Nicholas Brown I was literally working on that today.. lots of muck build-up in it
What is the diameter for the tube ?
hi great video :) can you tell me what the inside and outside diameter is of the tubing?
Really good tutorial, thank you(:
did you notice changes temps? more or less?
Great video. I have a praxis bench and tubes for AIO's are in general too short. I am thinking of modding an h100iv2 to have longer tube length, but the tubes look different. You should try it first. Oh.. and do you need clamps?
I was thinking of daisy chaining the couple aios I have with quick disconnects.
would love to see a reservoir with it
Well done! Perfect clean.
You think I could do this with my Corsair h115i Pro?
You can do it with any aio as long as they use barb fittings. Contact the company ask them the diameter that they use so that you know the size tubing that you need to buy. Also, tie your tubes off with zip ties or hose clamps for added security.
how has this held up? especially since you used food coloring / egg dye
What size tube did you use?
Hi what is the size of the tube or do you have a purchase link
you guys fr are the go too -- toasty bros > linus tech tips
hi what is the OD AND ID on that clear tube?
Nice job good information :)
Have you had any problems with algae growth over time after a mod using something like food coloring?
may i ask how long it takes the tube to change color ?
If anyone is going to do this just know that AIOs use copper on the block and aluminum in the radiator which means corrosion so make sure your liquid includes some type of anti corrosion or you add it separately.
@MrBeast Put colored water where? Inside an AIO? Whatever you use needs to add anti corrosion and anti biocide chemicals or just buy an already premixed liquid. Eitherway I wouldnt trust adding my own liquid to a mix loop of aluminium and copper.
the coolant that comes out already has these in it..
Peaches ASMR yes..but the video is about replacing the tubes which means a lot of people will be wanting to replace the liquid that comes with it.
You should do the Kraken :) i love to see that. do you know the Inner diameter and outer diameter for the kraken and that aio your using?
3/8 outer 1/4 inner
im waiting delivery of corsair h75 i have some clear tubing i might as well do it
After two years,, do you think it's Reliable?
Any way to lock those tubs in rather than just sectioned to the end of the hose?
I heard food coloring was bad for coloring loops? Is this not the case?
What size hosing did he use?
Look so cool
Hi there nice video, i'm planning on doing the same, but don't know what tubes to buy, can you elaborate on which i should go with ?
A quarter inch clear tube.
What is the size of the tube that you used?
What's the size of the tubing.
More mod please!!! And please give let us know about the maintenance of it after three months of uses
1/4 inch inner diameter? or outer diameter?
Hi! I have a Corsair H80i aio, if i change the radiator to a 240mm one would it overload the pump?
a cooler.. cooler?? COOL
How about adding 240mm radiator. Will the pump be enough strong to push the liquid ?
Ilijas Ramic yes but don’t get carried away with xtra on top of that
you should add a a reservoir and gpu water block
if try this mod AIO can i put zip ties at the end of each tube for a more secure tide seal?
Marco Escamilla no need
Would definitely recommend.
Can this be done with hard tubing
can we use hard tube instead of soft..tubes to mod the cooler.....if so can you make a video on it
i actually recommend the soft tubing and here's why if your aio does not fit the standard tubbing ID and OD your cooler may be leak and ruin your system so if you are using the soft tubbing you can tight up with zip ties or hose clamp
You can just pull those of. No need to cut
Nice work mate! :)
I used to build custom watercooled loops, parts from ebay/ali as well as with EK stuffs. Once a pump died in my PC, I lost my faith in watercooling ;< After a year I'm missing it so much :) I have some spare parts, what do you think, can I modify one of these AIOs and expand it with a GPU block?
You'd be better off using 2 AIO coolers. The pumps on AIOs aren't very strong, and using a single radiator for 2 components would be too hot. Unless you plan on combining something like two 240mm AIO loop or a 240 and a 120, then go for it.
@@hermanrwebster Thank you for the advise! Finally I finished my build, I've dropped the AIO pump idea, and bought a "high pressure" ID-Cooling waterpump with CPU support, and it's okay. I'm using with Ryzen 7 1700x @ 3.8GHz and 1080Ti with EK block, the lowest possible fan rpms, and it's okay, never gets above 70°C. If I raise the fan rpms, it's even better in temps, but I prefer the silence over the temps :) 240 radiator is just enough, but it will be better with an another 120 or 240 rad. Maybe in the next build.
What is the size of tube?diameter?.planning to mod my nzxt x42..idk what is the size of tube.
6mm ID 12-13mm OD
Why haven't you just used the original tubes a bit shorter?
i will try this with my Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L, i have guarantee until april so i don't mind if i will break someting in it so if it doesn't work this mod i will order a new one, i will try because i like to learn new things and how do they work, the first day when i had my hand on this beautiful AIO water cooler, i wanted to see if it can mod it or not
Need update @Adrian
What is the outer diameter of that hose? I'm looking to use my H55 pump for a custom loop in my Phanteks Shift Air.
I would not use food coloring, because of the growth it can cause. You are better off using coloring that is made for watercooling loops. It is not that expensive, and it is totally worth it.
I'd love to change the pump head on my old 120mm with a newer one with an lcd display to add new features to and older computer i no longer use without spending money on it
I will be doing this soon, same exact AIO so thanks for taking the time to do this. I will be adding a 240 Rad and Clear tubing.
did u end up making this? i want to aswell but if its going to fail over time i wont
InfiniteGuca Add some anti corruption liquid, and use zip ties at bottum of each end, then it will keep up.
NEVER put food coloring in your system!
Could you tell me what size tubing you used and does the tubing size also work with Corsair H100i? planning on combining a 120mm rad with 240 rad, maybe add a more power full pump if not sufficient! 😄
Connection size should be same on all asetek-based aio's. About 6mm, so pvc tubing with 6 mm inner diameter works (about 8mm outer diameter depending on thickness). I upsized to 8mm id tubing using short bits of 6mm as adapters to get better flow. Works great in my 2 aio/1 loop build.
@@MrStoffzor Yeah i figured it out, it's basically on older ones have 1/2 and newer once have 1/4", so yeah, it's all about giving it a shot! also i'm adding a more powerfull pump, due to the CPU waterblock+pump from Corsair H100i's has low pump flow! also adding both aftermarket CPU water block and extra rad! can't wait to put them together! at the moment, went ahead and refilled and top out the current cooler, it actually made some difference like 7 C cooler. :)
is it possible to do this with hard plastic tubing?
You need an converter
COOLER MASTER MASTERLIQUID LITE 240 RGB (MLWD24MA20PCR1) does anyone know what hose diameters need to be replaced in the AIO set?
Whats the size of that tubing
@@AEON. thanks for the clue
Would doing something similar to this work with hard tubing? I have a NZXT Kraken x62 and I want to use a more elegant hard tube setup.
Did you ever made it? Im doing it soon
@@bcallfree have you done it? Thinking about that too
@@rallowicz2397 I'll be doing it in a couple days because I'm finally going to get a different water cooler so I won't need the nzxt anymore and I'll play with it
Can I use hard tube instead? And thanks
No, the fittings on all aios are for soft tubing only.
Food coloring is a really bad idea. It can gunk up inside the cpu block. Water cooling dyes can be found for just a few dollars. This video is helpful in the tube replacement process.
please ! are you sure that i can use a 3/8 clear tube .. i have a new 360mm rad and new external pump i will put all these on a gpu whit nztx g12 but i see that my h55 tube is more small that 3/8
3/8 = 9mm inside that my clear tube
will it fit ? on a h55 block ?
NordVPN
Never use food coloring
Food coloring is awful to use for liquid cooling. There is specific dyes for the liquid.
Can I pay you to build me a pc? And ship it out to me?

Great video! I am a big fan of nordvpn, great product to be sponsored by!
Fucking so clooose just trying to take my hoses off for cleaning then put them back on
#StweamSquad
Who are you? This isnt your channel, get out of here! (JK
Nico Mero college, work and working on alot of projects! I am doing good thankyou and I'm trying my best to make more videos!
is this video a joke cuz you are doing it wrong and messing up an expensive pump with food coloring lmao easy way to jam it
