    In the first example isn’t there diffraction that comes back to the left? Or would this happen only if a spherical wavefront impinges on the object. I ask this because of experience with compact ranges (antenna testing) where a paraboloid is used to create a plane wave. In that case edge diffraction must be managed by edge treatment or the diffracted waves coming back to the left will “pollute” the test zone.

      Yes if the gap size increases waves become more straight and a semi circle on the edges

    There are a few suggestiins here. Firstly, please pronunce some of the words properly, such as Spreading, obstacle etc.
    Secondly, everyone know what refraction is but do the wavelength, frequency, speed, temperature and density play roles in the refraction. You properly need to elaborate.
