It also can be that due to the zombie plague all the zombies were on the land masses at the villages and when they saw people living underwater they tried to attack them and after spending some time in water they became drowned and then turned all the other people under water drowned as well. This is because if we put a zombie in water for some time he becomes drowned.

My theory is that there was a naughty zombie. He never listened to his mom and dad, and one day his parents told him to cool of in shallow water, but went for the ocean. He sank to the bottom and since it was day he couldn't come out even if he wanted to. Then his body evolved to survive underwater and he became a drowned.

There was a player died in a cave and then hé never go to get his XP back so the sculk generate and stealed the amithisye géode this is why there is amythiste with sculk and then a sculk took a player so the player transformed to the Warden bcz the XP sculk to ok his eyes and transformed him .
The ancien city theory :
A player build a city underground so the sculk took it .
Drowned theory : a player drowned so he transformed .
