- In this video, I look into the ultimate MTB demo day experience at Dyfi bike park with ALL the Atherton Bikes! This 10-hour unforgettable demo day experience with Atherton Bikes was all based around a group demo day with the FSRMTB Facebook group. #atherton #mtb #dyfi
This was a very unique day, that was all made possible by Atherton Bikes. Alex, Gill, Joe and Horatio from @Athertonbikes arranged and organised a full day demoing which included the full quiver of AM bikes: AM130 AM150, AM170 and the AM200 (sadly not the S170 as no demo bike was available at the time of our demo day) and a full, in-depth factory tour.
We were allowed to stretch the legs of each rig on any and all of the exceptional Dyfi Bike Park trails and we max'd the day out with 7-8 uplifts. We were all then invited back to the Atherton Bikes HQ, 5 minutes down the road in Machynlleth, to meet with Alex, for a highly detailed and in-depth factory tour. Both Alex and Joe gave us so much detail of how these incredible machines are not only built but how they are conceived, designed and tested to produce probably the very best MTB's money can buy.

Was the 170 favourited by most because that’s the ideal bike for the type of trails at the park? If for example the trial days were in different locations such a trail centre would the opinions have changed? Just a thought as I’m not sure the 130 ‘trail bike’ or even the 150 would get a fair test or consideration riding at Dyfi Bike Park.
A fair comment however, bearing in mind that all the Athy bikes have been designed & tested at the bike park and surrounding Dyfi forest areas, each rig has its own unique qualities, capabilities and obviously the bigger hitting bikes are more suited to the black/double black trails but the 130 & 150 excel in many other areas and are just as much at home in the park as their bigger hitting siblings, a lot depends largely on the rider too. I’ve been riding my 170 since January this year and it’s way more capable than I was expecting especially on the climbs, however, the 130 & 150 will probably do a much better job. Grabbing a test ride for yourself is the only way to understand fully just how incredibly good they really are. Thanks for watching 🤜🤛
