I heard this album for the first time today and I really have some major respect for Royksopp.
I need for you to be able to capture the sonic values deep inside these tracks.
Between the attack, sustain, delay, and decay, or the pan playfulness, reverb, stereo spreads that create new spaces for your eyes to focus on what your ears are experiencing.
Explaining what badass music is to someone who's never heard this music before is like trying to create the sounds that 5 o'clock makes.
I will never get used to this feeling of shock and surprise along with overwhelming joy the first time I ever hear an incredible song!!!! My eyes widen and my pupils dilate. My jaw loosens up a bit and my ears twitch in the direction of where the sounds are coming from like a dog hearing sounds from another location... this is DOPE!!!!
I am 52 years old now, I first heard Röyksopp when some colleagues of mine, in the visual effects industry, made the vfx for the music video for What Else Is There. This was probably in 2006 or so. Since then, these two norwegian gods of electronica, has become my favorite band ever. Their sound wether up-beat or melancholic has me dancing and chilling respectively.

I first heard "Eple" when it came in (99?). Since then I have continued to hear all theyr albums with great interest, and it still suprices me every new albums/songs they come up with, how genius they are. They have a destinct style, but ever so great, their still evolving to be even greater for each new album. Profound Mysteries grows in my ear, and counsiness for every time I hear them

This album is so awesome and unique in so many ways. The traversal of lush and barren landscapes that surges from the melody alone was such a delightful trip for me. The best hour to simply get lost. I have to go back to my normal world now, but now I can find refuge in some songs and its simply blissful. Thank you Royksopp and to all the additional singers for this album. Each one of you brought such a depth and richness to the storytelling, I was just blown away~

@@WordsInVain It's one aspect of the media feed today, but in my humble opinion the problem it's not the sensationalisation of sex but the concept of sex itself. The real question is what's sex? Why has it become something kinky, something to hide? With this not saying we all should have public intercourses, but being able to take away the evocative power of the sexual act by simply accept that it's a natural animal behaviour, functional to the survival of species. The sexualisation of modern media use the misconceptions everybody has to shock ouselves, but is it because the entertainment factory is pushing the boundaries or because we are too much "puritans" easy to be shocked?

I love Some Resolve how it picks up from the vibes of Triumphant, one of my favorite royksopp tracks. I don't think I caught that similarity when previous listens of this album for some reason
