Yeah, as an American I also think it was quite awful 😭😭 but finding student housing in Amsterdam is literally a battle to the death and the neighborhood was really nice so I was so happy ❤️🩹
If I heard it correctly at the beginning she said it was located in Amstelveen which is quite a bit outside of Amsterdam (though still has a very good public transport connection) so that's why it may be more affordable. But honestly 530 is still great!!

There's a major housing shortage here, so landlords know that even if they don't maintain the building someone will rent it.. 😢
