How to help most horses: the one thing you can do to help them become softer

This is a snap shot from a recent clinic I did. It is SO important to have a horse move in balance towards their thoughts, not away from their focus. Driving pressure can not only affect the way your horse feels, but the quality and balance in it's movement. If driving has been a tool that you have used quite a bit - don't worry - there are other tools to motivate horses to search that will end up leaving your horse softer and more emotionally stable.
One of the common sayings in horsemanship is to follow a feel. I see people wanting a horse to follow a feel but more often their horse moves away from a feel.
