Having owned a Samsung S7 for about a month I noticed the sound kept cutting out on the internal speaker. There was no issues when using headphone. Here's a fix that seems to work for me.

David Flockhart it's not a sarcastic comment some people don't realise that the sound works via headphones....this issue is ridiculous can't believe Samsung don't sort it out, what network are you with? I'm sure it's all the bloatware the network provider dumps on the phone.

Mine does this, but only during phone calls, either they can't hear me, or I can't hear them, sometimes it comes back in, sometimes we have to call each other back and wait till it does it again 😒
I tried it and it worked right after doing these fixes on the phone. Hopefully it will keep working. I've had this phone for a few years so I'm not quite sure why is started to cut out like that.

I couldn't find "easy mute", but the "prevent usb audio routing" alone seems to have fixed the problem.

I believe the problem is the USB port has a short causing it to think a USB audio device is plugged in. With my phone, for example, this problem would begin occurring when I laid my phone down while audio was playing.. and eventually it'd resolve itself, until it came back.

Galaxy Bear IKR but it seems to only be temporary, I found that if you disable "prevent usb audio routing" in the developer options seems to be permanent

For anyone Wondering: "easy mute" is called "Mute with gestures" in modern Samsung devices
Is that what he said ?...Its called "mute & mute with gestures" ? I couldn't hear him cuz my volume went down and I had trouble understanding his English.. Why would you mute your phone, if you're having trouble with the volume fading out ?? And I couldn't understand his English accent or Australian accent accent I don't think my phone has those features anyway because it's an Android , and he mentioned Samsung. and I just entered that I was looking for advice about the volume on an Android going down and how to fix it.

I couldn't find it either but when I searched it, it popped up.
First, try simply restarting your device.
Turn off audio routing like shown in the video.
And delete any third-party apps that were recently downloaded that might've caused this issue.
This FINALLY worked for me 🙏😅

I have the same issue with the S8+ and just now changed settings using the steps listed above. I have been trying to problem solve with tech support at Amazin as well as Samsung for the last week without success. I went to the AT&T store where I bought the phone without success. Each time I phoned into Amazon I kept getting a different person only to repeat repeat repeat and repeat the same conversation over and over again. Samsung+ offers assistance, yet again, no resolution. I cannot believe the amount of time and frustration I have experienced from the actual company that develops the app.
I am sorry to say this video was not any help. Any other suggestions?

@@rapier494 the audio still cuts when the battery is fully charged. Its the only factor that makes it hard to fully recomend the A8.
is that a problem for like notifications?i never used the speaker while the phone is charging, i meN for music,youtube etc
@@rapier494 I've only noticed it when listening to podcasts with the phones speakers. I rarely watch videos on my phone. Have never noticed it interfere with notifications.

Good morning. Thank you for your video. Tried both tips on my S5. Still... after 30sec the audio cuts of. The problem appeared just yesterday. What else can I do? Please help.
This might seem odd but it works for me. If you have an s8, and the audio cuts out, press hard on the screen about one or two inches ABOVE THE SPEAKER. This seems to be working for me but the audio still cuts out every now and then. I'm not sure if it's the same for the s8+ or any other phone.

I finaly found the fix for fading sound, go in settings, general management and click reset than click reset settings should work if u had same problem as me

I sent my last Galaxy in for a replacement because of this problem. Verizon couldn't figure out the problem either and we figured it was the speaker going out. Thanks a lot for this solution and for saving me the time of replacing another Galaxy!
Thanks, that seems to have fixed it - not immediately, but the next day the phone was working OK. (This was after it had been cutting out for some days.) Keeping my fingers crossed that the problem doesn't come back.

I'm having an issue with the audio cutting out in the middle of recording a video thru the camera on this. I can't find anything specific to this. Even though I bought a large SD card just for video recording, I did see that can cause it some issues if it's not fast enough. So I switched it back to storage on the device hoping that would help but it didn't....

My volume comes out of the ear piece and when I move my phone in certain positions it comes out the right speaker on my iPhone X my phone screw got fixed so I’m thinking it’s a loose wire or something please help

My Galaxy A32 volume cuts out. Having my headset plugged in to hear your video. All was good up to the (Disable USB Audio Routing). You say to turn it off. I did that. Even reset my phone and had no volume at all. So I am currently watching your video again to see what I did. I turned the (USB Audio Routing) back on and checked my (Sound) without my headset plugged in and I have volume. If it still cuts out, I don't know yet. Everything else after the (USB Audio Routing) I did according to what you're stating.
Update: It still ended up cutting out.

I **had** Easy Mute (not called that on my Note 4) disabled as I dislike all these silly gestures. However, some time ago, all my voice apps like Viber, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger started cutting out on voice calls making them completely useless. I finally Googled it to find this solution, and, although I don't think disabling the USB re-routing is applicable, I still disabled it but also found that my disabled gestures had re-enabled themselves! They may have been reset as part of an update, I don't know, but even so, why have Samsung released such a buggy feature in the first place and why haven't they fixed it since then? Unbelievable.

So I tried all this. Mine was happening on my recorded videos after trying all this and shutting g down all apps not needed I turned off blue tooth
No problems after that.

Mine doesn't cut out after a couple of seconds.. It cuts out after about an hour of leaving my phone on CZcams on a fan video that I used to sleep with. When I noticed that the volume cuts out and I can't fix it I have to restart my phone and then it works again

I reset all the settings and it worked again. I had no audio and it would only work with headphones but it seems to be working now

This appears to have worked on my Samsung Galaxy S8 too. There was a system update two nights ago that seems to have caused the problem since I wasn't having it before that. I tried this and I've been listening to audio books and music for several hours without issue. Thanks so much!

Go into Developer settings and turn on Prevent USB audio rerouting. I had this serious problem for a while. I listen to music a lot so this problem sucked.

My phone is acting very weird Sometimes sound cuts and i have to put it back Then sometimes There starts Coming sounds and voices of someone talking while im watching something. I don't think its a virus.
