Definetly a cool door, but for me I prefer ones that just run on batteries. I got a door from The Hen Hut a few months ago for only 65 dollars, and it is reliable as well as metal which is really all you need.
Do you have any issue with the solar not charging the battery on cloudy days? I have one, was working fine but now it seems like the battery isnt providing enough power to the door. If I connect to backup box it works. I get mostly morning to noon sun.
Is it possible to hook two farmlite doors to the eco worthy box? I am using one door for my coop and one to go outside the run and would like to tie them both into one battery and solar panel.
Got the same one sitting on the shelf gotta get it installed here soon..

That battery should work for days without solar. Maybe a bad battery or needs a full charge.. check voltage while it’s sunny and charging

I would think so
How long was the solar cell cord?
I think 5-6 feet. It was long enough to run into the bottom of the coop to the roof.
