  • I continue my trek deeper and deeper in the the back country of Eastern Nevada with my good friends who have been exploring this wilderness region for 40 years. Find some great camping spots, cook up so delicious camp meals, search for ghost towns, old cabins and abandoned mines and even make a quick stop into town for resupply.

Absolutely the coolest outdoor video I've seen in a long time!
It doesn't always have to be rock crawling and 3ft deep water crossings.
    That's not "overlanding".
The scenery, the remoteness, the exploration, the self sufficiently of sleeping and cooking in nature. That's what it's all about. And you do that very - very well.

Very hard to beat a good biscuits & gravy breakfast, especially when you put some breakfast sausage in the gravy! Awesome video series man. I am thoroughly enjoying it! surprised to didn't run into The Chig (aquachigger). LOL He's been exploring all over those areas for weeks. Brad, thank you so much for continuing to provide these videos of your trips. I can't tell you how bad I want to tag along. I'm finally making that list of Jeep improvements in order to be ready enough. It will never be close to what you have built, but, it will work and the memories will be forever. It's going to be the first "big" trip with my oldest son, and I can't wait.

Hey Brad, I especially enjoyed your comments about the large old mining machinery, and your personal experience with similar equipment while you were in the Navy. You have a talent for bringing your trips "down to earth" and bringing your viewers in on the fun (unlike some of the "overproduced" overlanding ("X") videos). Keep up the good work!

Brad, I ordered an extra bamboo cutting board on Amazon that fits perfectly on the LEFT of my Outback Adventure table. Now when I slide the right side out I slide the extra one into the left to support the fuel can of my BaseCamp stove. Works perfect, and keeps the fuel canister out of the way of my flame while I cook. Plus if I need an extra surface, I have it!

Im from a small town, west Utah. Ive spent a ton of time out west Utah/east Nevada. When people ask, and I tell them, where i went for a week with my dog, they tell me "man, its boring and ugly out there, ..theres nothing to do or see". I just say "ya,.. dont go,..."
( the less, the better, to me anyway)
I guess beauty is really in the eye of the beholder. Because I found so much beauty, out there, I honestly thought my heart would explode at times.
    Happy adventures out there all...

It really is amazing all you can see and explore and have to yourself out in Eastern Nevada. You need to come a little farther north next time and check out "Mount Washington" and the trail you can drive to above the tree line with the bristle cone pines trees and 11,700' summit. Some old mines you can explore as well there. Another great spot is the "Success Loop" just outside Ely, Nevada, not a hard trail at all but truly a gorgeous trail with plenty of camp spots. Not to mention the remote hot springs you can take a dip in scattered throughout the entire area. Glad to see you showing off Nevada, it truly is hidden gem that a lot of people ignore or just don't know about all together.
