I love the minimalist style of these pieces. I handbuild but I don’t make much functional pottery. This was great. I may try these for Christmas gifts.

You can make your own templates using a ruler & paper...
Circles use from a Pickle jar, bowl, etc....

@@streetsmartintelligent Absolutely - and I'm still going to purchase because, 1> PotterytothePeople already figured out the proportions and, 2> She deserves some credit in the form of $$ for the great ideas 'cuz I want her to keep pumping out great videos and ideas! Yay!

Just bought these for my girlfriend's birthday as a fun activity for us both to try. I may have missed something but do you have any recommendations of how much clay to prepare for each project?

Newbie here, in the storage jar tutorial, you wipe the bottoms of the jars and lids for glaze firing, but then when you show them after firing, they are glazed all over. Are you doing a second glaze firing, what am I missing? Thanks!

nope I am not doing a second glaze firing, the bottoms are wiped free of glaze!

Great templates! and a really enjoyable video. Is your wedging board plaster? It's so beautifully smooth!

It's canvas wrapped around a wooden board. I have a tutorial to make them over on my main channel @potterytothepeople :)

I love these pieces!!! Your space always looks so clean and organized!! I’ve always been told that you have to wrap handbuilt pieces in plastic for quite a while until it’s bone dry. I see you just covered your pieces with a towel. Is it humid or dry in your area? Thanks. If you don’t know if the person has an area where the sponge will drain into you can put little raised feet on the top of the dish where the sponge will sit! Great tutorials and templates. Every time I’ve ever made lids like this they warp so badly. The thickness of the two slabs together makes that middle part dry sooo slowly while the overlapping part dries quickly. Any suggestions?

Wrapping the pieces just comes down to your clay and your climate. My space is pretty humid (in a basement), so it works well. Just try things out and you'll figure out what your clay tolerates :)

These jars, I can see issues with ants getting in & keeping things fresh, the tops are not totally even.
    Maybe add a silicone bead

For sure, they are NOT air tight! It just depends what you are storing. Stuff like salt or wrapped sweets are fine in a non-airtight container.

An unsolicited comment. The thing you have that no one else has is your delightful personality. This is why we watch your channels. Are these template videos just a bit too dry? I understand the purpose of this channel as opposed to your other channel, but just a bit more fun, please :) Just a thought. Thank you for all you do.
