He makes a lot of sense. Congress is "ideally" the voices of the masses. They are elected as "representative" so the law and discourses should come from them. Lol but of course I had to say "ideally".

Agree. But unfortunately, he failed to discuss the it is the Supreme Court which will decide in finality whether the law made by congress on marraige equality is constitutional or not. SC pa rin ang ultimate decision maker.

@@gay4cash Nope. Supreme Court and Legislative Houses are coequal. Legislative makes the law. Supreme Court just analyze it for any unconstitutional provisions. Not all laws made are subject to review by SC and not all reviewed can be declared unconstitutional.

It'll be take tooooo long if the congress or philippine law allows it. The supreme court did so faster in Austria, thank God! It would never have been possible in centuries in Austria if not for the supreme court! Salamat

Agree. SC interprets the law, no matter how congress makes law on marriage equality, SC has the final say whether the law is constitutional or not. Congress making a law, may still end up an exercise in futility if SC declares it unconstitutional. So why Boy Abunda did not ask this question?

Under the constitution, marriage should only be between man and woman, for gay marriage to be constitutional, the constitution should change that part. So even if a law is passed concerning the legality of gay marriage it will be deemed unconstitional by the supreme court.
