I think what makes him so special is he literally living his dream life and he is always in awe of it. It is so difficult to rate attractiveness based on certain scientific measurements. A lot of people who have asymmetry or who do not have perfect features are still super attractive. Just like when you use the Marquardt mask to apparently make celebrities faces more attractive, most of the time they are more attractive before you revise their face with Marquardt mask.
on your ending statement: that might also have to do with the fact that we are more used to seeing their "normal" faces as opposed to the Marquardt masks. Because we all know what this person looks like in real life, there is an attached sense of uncanny valley to the altered version that is difficult to disassociate from our memory. The Marquardt mask might in fact be more "attractive", but our bias makes it impossible to appreciate properly. Food for thought.

Yeah I would disagree with you here. Even though you think you found him "unattractive" at the beginning, you actually didn't. If you did, no matter what he does or how good his acting skills are, you would always be repulsed by him.
You were always attracted to him ever since you saw his face for the first time, but you just couldn't rationalize it yet since his face is, as this video says, polarizing. Polarizing faces make memorable faces, and that makes him attractive because you're exposed to it more, making you more familiar with his face.
Now that you've seen his acting, it only adds to his already attractive face. But because you couldn't see/rationalize his attractive face at first, your only rationale for thinking that he's attractive only came down to his acting or his public persona. Thanks to videos like this, at least now you can rationalize what attracted you in the first place instead of sugarcoating it to "I love him because of his personality" because that's not completely true.
This is not to say that he's bad at acting or his personality is awful or that you're *only* attracted because of his looks. This is to say that Timothee is actually attractive physically, but people often don't realize that/can't rationalize that because his face is polarizing. I would say that some people are also afraid to be called as "having a weird taste" because of finding his face attractive.
I personally have only watched The King and I think he's a good actor and that he's good-looking. I have never watched his interviews or behind-the-scene stuff tho so idk about his public persona (or what you call his "personality").
Timothée's appeal is in listening to him speak, move and act. He already has attractive features like the sharp jawline, dark hair, broody look ....but seeing him in action just accentuates those features so much more somehow. Just having a nice face is usually not enough to get you the title of "The Internet's Boyfriend" or whatever, it's mostly his charisma and acting skills that have made him such a fan favorite.
Y'all don't get it, being attractive doesn't mean having a symmetrical model face it's the way he talks, thinks, treats people, his passion, his BIG FAT TALENT - his acting is incredible, I felt Elio's shattered heart and I was SO intimidated by him in The King.
Also his awkwardness in interviews combined with his confidence when it comes to performing, the look on his face when he listens to people (You can literally see the many thoughts pacing through his head) HE CAN MAKE YOU FEEL EVERY. For me, if you find someone attractive because of his personality, the person automatically is physically beautiful. Timmy is just really beautiful to me. I loved him in Call Me By Your Name and while I appreciated his beauty in the movie, seeing him in interviews and getting to know his goofy and open personality is what made me fall him as much as I have. He has a sense of innocence and purity to him that makes him almost angelic
As someone who didnât understand the hype surrounding him Iâve come to a slight understanding after I saw a video clip of him speaking French, thatâs when it hit me that he has that French boy charm.. But still, apply him anywhere outside of that box I still canât find him attractive. Could it be relating to how some features work because of the attached âforeignâ-ness, like he would look right at home in a particular setting/fantasy, kind of like crushing on that transfer student in your school? đ

I just feel like there are mainly two sides when it comes to guys like him - to some, he looks like some beautiful roman statue, while others see him as the average Joe. It depends on taste, I think.

I think it is how his personality and his overall demeanor contrasts and complemente his strong, intimidating (mostly facial) look perfectly. You see him speak and interact with others and there is such a nice balance and duality to him. Timothée Chalamet is a great representation of balance on the spectrum of many physical/psyche aspects of a person. As for physical, he has masculine and feminine features. About his looks and personality and demeanor, he has a strong gaze, but soft warm eyes when he smiles, laughs and speaks. His demeanor is shy and awkward (many girls find those qualities attractive on attractive men) but he is not completely shy, he also seems confident and self-assured without coming off as cocky. Balance. Even balance in the roles he chooses to play, he can play soft characters and also strong ones.
Heâs the incredible actor, who also seems like your day to day guy and heâs relatable to many personality and demeanor-wise.
And thatâs why people are fawning over him. He could appeal to anyone.
Donât idolize people though. Itâs not good. And please, donât just appreciate him for his looks, but for his acting. Donât let this be another wasted talent because he got categorized by looks and not by talent and great acting. Thatâs all.

Heâs easy on the eyes but I think what really makes him so attractive is his personality and thoughtfulness when he speaks and interacts with others. Hollywood is full of more âtraditionalâ alpha male types whereas TimothĂ©e is shy, sweet, and soft spoken; you can tell heâs very emotionally intelligent and self-aware, borderline self-deprecating. Not to say guys canât be all of the above, but I think TimothĂ©e and Adam Driverâs careers/popularity say a lot about that shift in what a leading man is/can be/should be.
He has a face of a model. You can do many things in his face with different result either feminine or masculine that makes him very attractive. You do not need to analyse his face, it is really given that his face is stand out.

The first time I saw his face. was a black and white photo of him in The French Dispatch with a cigarette between his lips. What struck me about him in the photo were his eyes and the expression on his face. He has gorgeous, thick wavy hair, beautiful teeth and lips. His gold green eyes have a sensitivity and sensuality to them. I think he's very beautiful and has a huge career in front of him!
I think what people like about him besides his unique looks is his talent and personality. I find his acting skills incredible (amongst other skills like knowing multiple languages), and I really like how he seems so down to earth and humble, when he could easily be conceited and overly competitive.
My love for him wasnât due to his face, I had always seen pictures of him and didnât look twice, writing him off as the new heartthrob or whatever. Itâs only when I started watching his interviews (and you should check the comments of these interviews as the girls tend to have the same feelings as mine), that I was totally enchanted. I think women, generally speaking, are more attracted to personality than looks and his personality (at least what we can see as the general public) is very charming. Heâs kind, heâs sweet, he openly expresses his feelings and desires including being nervous (and we find that nervousness cute), heâs always super humble about his achievements, heâs having so much fun entering into the celebrity world and being amazed by it that it makes us feel amazed too, heâs super close to his family and his friends, heâs touchy-feely, he treats his fans like theyâre his friends as well, heâs goofy but can switch to being very serious when discussing his work and how much it means to him (an amazing dynamic). I think heâs pretty, certainly, but I like who he is as a person a lot more than what he looks like.

I noticed the dark hair/eyebrows on pale skin thing too (especially when paired with light eyes). There's something distinctly striking about it because of the opposite colors (like light eyes and hair or white clothes on dark skin, it just makes them stand out more).
I think Hollywood tends to favor this with masculine brooding troubled but intelligent archetypes (Y'know, bad boys?) (Batman, Superboy, Damon Salvatore, Patrick Bateman, Christian Grey, Danny Zuko, live action Wolverine, live action Deadpool, stereotypical Dracula-equse vampires, a lot of male models.. MCU's Bucky Barnes. In the comics he typically had lighter hair, but MCU's bucky is more troubled, and has darker hair and lighter eyes. Hell, even Anakin Skywalker's hair got darker in the last movies. And although Edward Cullen's hair isn't dark, his eyebrows are)

This was a very interesting video. I think you fairly captured the true physical aspects of Timotheé Chalamet's very handsome face. I saw him in a store in NYC last year and he looked just like a kid that was a student at the nearby NYU. Nothing stood out, just a cute kid, nervous, hyper energy to him. But when you dress him up in thousand-dollar designer suits and do the 'Chalamet hair', he's breathtaking, and he knows it, but without being conceited. I just love this kid.
