I really enjoy your day in the life videos! Keep it up man!
appreciate you ♥️
"I picked a desk on an empty floor to avoid people"
As someone who also works in the IT space, I felt this with every cell of my body.
I'm just tryna get my freed food/perks, and get out of there unseen lmao
Each video gets better & better! Easy to follow, subtly comedic, very satisfying to watch and the music is very therapeutic 👍🏽 Glad I’m subscribed
appreciate you ♥️
Hello from Seattle! Interviewing with TikTok next week for an Android Software Engineer, Global E-commerce role 📲💼 Your videos have been invaluable. Big thanks! 🙏🎊
that's awesome, wishing you the best man, glad I could help in any way :)
Did u get the job?
How'd the interview turn out?
It's refreshing to see an actual day in the life video of a job where the person is actually working and not going around doing other things while they are supposed to be working. Can't tell you how many times I see someone post a day in the life of (insert job title) and they literally do less then 2 hours of work all day. I get some people can get away with it but it's not reality for most. He seems like a great worker, but it looks like he put in a lot of effort and time into his projects. I hope he gets some time to relax too.
I appreciate the feedback, yea I tried to make it as detailed as possible with what an actual software engineer at a big tech company works on day-to-day. These videos are my relaxation :)
my favorite channel on youtube!! your routine and work ethic is super honest and inspiring!! waiting for the next video 👀
thank you, coming soon! appreciate the kinds words ♥️
this guy always dropping bangers, inshallah this is my future, youre living the dream
it definitely will be man, wishing you to the best ♥️
These kind of videos keep getting recommended and I can't keep myself from clicking on them. I'm happy that I do because I'm getting more interested in coding myself, I'm looking forward to the video(s) you are going to make on becoming a software engineer!
haha I'm glad you enjoy them at least, hope to provide you with more value in those upcoming videos, thank you :)
Your videos give me motivation ! thank you for making these
thank you for the kinds words :)
sheesh that empty office is nice to have
yea if you know how to avoid people any office can be empty :)
Watched thousands of these VODs! This one is my fave.
thank you, I really appreciate it :)
I really enjoy your content, I'm currently in my first internship at a big bank in my country and you inspire me so much!
happy to hear that man, wishing you the best and ty :)
Nice video, Arman! Such a good perk to be able to work at multiple office locations. I should try that for my own content :) Keep the videos coming 🙌
wow Brian I absolutely love your videos man, definitely inspired by your content, appreciate you will do ♥️
Wait for Brian to drop a video and I find u here 😂😂
Loving these in-depth videos, they’re really helpful. Can’t wait for the new video so I can improve on my skills to hopefully get better at the interviews and a better software engineer!
happy to hear that, I hope I can help you out even more with that video :)
These videos are so great because of the professional insight you’re so open to offer and talk about so I really appreciate them.
I’m not a fast reader and if the words could stay on the screen a little longer I would love that, but I would also love to see a video where you talk about the goal-setting frameworks you’ve learned and implemented in your career thus far!
Thanks again for these video, I really love them!
so happy you get some insight from them, I'll try and slow down the captions, appreciate the feedback man ♥️
Love the different offices you always show us
haha of course more to come, thank you ♥️
@@armankhondker welcome can't wait 🤗🤗🤗
Ngl watching these videos always makes me wish i was into coding. This looks like the perfect job tbh😂 great video :D
yea it definitely looks better in these aesthetic videos, but yea it is top tier field imo considering everything, appreciate you :)
love it man never stop
appreciate it I wont ♥️
Cant wait for that video! Love ur content
appreciate you, it's coming relatively soon!
Another great videos as usual. Looking forward to the next video from Bejing!

Always enjoy watching your videos brother! Great content!

Awesome contents dude! You are inspiring me very well to become a software engineer!
appreciate it, you can definitely become one if you really want to
dope video as usual
thank you man ♥
Would love to see more day in my life kinda blog and weekend blog too🤭🤭
yes more indeed is coming, thank you :)
Thanks for such high quality content. You are yourself and that's a plus for sure. Currently learning UML diagrams and other technologies. You're inspiring. I would like to know some of the best ways I can improve my learning and become a better developer, apart from building projects, what are some of the daily things you did that took you where you are today. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and learning as well. Asking from the Congo. Thanks
appreciate you Fadhil, I plan on making videos that give some general career advice/insights and hope those will help you in the future, wishing you the best from Congo :)
@@armankhondker I am definitely looking forward to them. Thanks for such content and the wishes as well.
Enjoying the videos bro you inspire me ngl please continue making content 💯
appreciate you man, wishing you the best :)
Hi! I'm a software engineering student, I really enjoy watching your videos, they give me motivation to keep studying :D
that is honestly my goal and makes me happy to hear, appreciate you ♥
Can't wait for the how to become a SWE video man. Awesome videos!!!

appreciate you watching ♥
Great video again!
appreciate it :)
Awesome video
Man I love ur DITL vids so muchh
appreciate you, more coming soon :)
LESGO
The music captions were spot on.
appreciate the feedback :)
strange that the Seattle office gets free food but the Austin one doesn't. I'd have thought the company as a whole would share the same processes
haha yea it's annoying, I think it's because this office is a much smaller one and it's a main hub for us like seattle/san jose.
Like and comment every vid 👍 great content as always
appreciate you man ♥️
would be great to see a video on the process of becoming an software engineer + how you did it! Editing's great!
yea video is coming soon on those topics, appreciate you :)
Wow! now in Texas, I need to react
haha yes you do, reaction coming soon :)
proud of you armani!!!!
haha thanks des ♥️
3:00 "I read like Lebron" 😂😂😂
glad you understood the joke 😭
My fave youtuber rn
wow appreciate the kind words ♥️
That changing work location part was practical and cool! I enjoyed your video. Love from India.
yea I definitely do that often, thank you man ♥️
@@armankhondker I am woman. 😝
the tesla subliminals have me dead
lmao yea just subtle jabs
😂😂😂😂
Nice upgrade from corolla to a cool looking lexus. you are doing gr8
haha appreciate the attention to detail :)
Another soothing vid.
try to keep the chill vibes, thank you ♥️
One of the better day in the life videos! Keep it up man! Just curious, what's your vlogging gear?
appreciate you, I mainly use my sony camera and iphone, nothing too fancy :)
I really like your video so much ✨️💛
🦋🍂
ty so much :)
Boy, if you don't get your feet up off that couch..😂 Stumbled on your video and enjoyed every minute of it!
you right I wouldn't do that at home with shoes on so I shouldn't do it at work lmaoo, appreciate you ❤️
Nice video, I would really like you to upload more videos.
appreciate you, more coming soon :)
In tiktok in China, it is early to get off work at 7 o'clock, usually from 10 o'clock to 11 o'clock
agreed I often work with colleagues based in China, it's different work culture/expectations in the u.s.
Great Content!
thank you :)
Love your videos bro .. Would mind creating about how you got into tiktok , tips and roadmap . will appreciate it.
yes I am planning on this for one of my next vids, appreciate you ♥
I subbed in hopes you make other videos like you mentioned in this video.
they will be coming shortly, thank you for your patience :)
Love your videos man❤️🫡 I was wondering how you got your start in Software Engineering? If you could make a video about if this was your dream career or if you went to College/Bootcamp? 😄🎉🎉😄
I will be making a video on this topic and hopefully will answer all of your questions, appreciate you ♥️
So proud of you, Arman. Genuinely curious, why does TikTok have you working from so many locations?
appreciate it Jaime, our office locations are open to all employees and I have colleagues based in different offices, so it's easier to collaborate with them at their specific office. I mainly work from seattle/san jose offices though, since that's where our engineering team in u.s. is based.
@@armankhondker that sounds cool! Keep up the great work over at TikTok and here on CZcams with these neat videos.
@@jrg_lmnop appreciate you, will do ♥
Lmao the random AirPod review 😂😂😂 totally agree too
haha yea I definitely could've been spaced in there better
From Austin super cool video , you work super long hours , I do 7-4 everyday and that’s a lot for me
I miss austin so much, agreed I dont think this is sustainable, but for now I'm content with my work so I don't complain
Nice video, gives me a clear view of what working at TikTok is like, coming from a hopeful future TikTok SWE intern!
appreciate you that was the goal, best of luck :)
Hey I love the vibes of these videos. Keep it going. Also about the referral?
ty man, dm me on linkedin :)
got you @@armankhondker
love your videos!! just curious, do you work in all tiktok offices?
I've been to a good amount in u.s., but the goal is to go to all of them :). next, I want to go to our LA office.
Make on video about your coding journey
that is coming soon on the queue :)
Thank you brother 💖
12 hours like a champ
always :)
Omg I’m at the Austin office too! Maybe I’ll see ya around! 🎉
im back in seattle now, but next time I'm in texas yes :)
That subtle LeBron comment🤣 iykyk🤪 Really enjoyed all your videos so far, you make coding look fun! Looking forward to new videos!
lmao yea glad someone caught it, happy you feel that way, thank you :)
Amazing video !!! Quick question which language and area should I focus on to become a software developer (backend).
I'll be making a specific video on this topic, but as for general advice I'd say Python is the best for getting started, hope this helps :)
Can you make a video how was the interview process and how was your preparations?
like how many leetcode questions did you make?
yea I plan on making a video exactly on this :)
Do you sometimes find the meetings and 1:1's mentally draining ? BTW I love your videos. Watching from New Zealand :)
yea I definitely do, I try to limit them to all be on one day during the week, appreciate your support :)
I love your videos. Can you do a day in the life of a software engineer in Syria or Caracas, Venezuela?
i am actually going to mexico rn 🤔
Great video as always. ☺️ I have one stupid question but is it always that empty at the office? I wish I had such a modern work environment but I would kinda miss colleagues to hang out with during breaks or to talk to if I have question. 🙈😅
no it was actually relatively filled, I just didn't show anyone and picked a spot where not many people were sitting :). But yea I definitely met up with a few coworkers who work in Austin during breaks etc.
@@armankhondker ok yeah that makes sense. I would have done the same when filming. 😅 Glad there are people around especially if you have such a stunning office 😃
I am here again Great vlog
appreciate you again :)
ATX in the house !! Let’s go !
my fav city in texas by far, want to live there in the future :)
Seems like you are the only people in the office.Very cool! hhha
yea I tried not to film others, and yea I wanted to be alone :)
Love the videos man! I have interviews with TikTok coming up soon! Mind if I ask you about your interview process?
absolutely feel free to dm on linkedin, thanks man ♥️
Q: Why are you in Austin? do you get to travel frequently for your job?
because I travel often for my job and because I am from texas :)
Great and enjoyable
Arman
appreciate it ♥️
If you don’t mind me asking, what was ur gpa and what clubs and extracurriculars did you do in high school? Also, did you do APs in high school? I’m a rising sophomore in Michigan and I have visited Austin last summer. I’m really want to go there after I finish university at hopefully UMich. Do you have any tips for high school? My dream job is working a software engineer too!
yea I plan on making a video about my background, but long-story-short yes, I would say just build useful projects for yourself with code and you'll be well on your way :)
@@armankhondker Thank you so much!
Your office, my dream.
it's nice, but honestly a lot of hard work
Hey Arman , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make a highly engaging shorts out of them.
feel free to reach out on email :)
Code today, Conquer tomorrow. 👨💻
that should be my motto
@@armankhondker 😇 Great idea 💡
Is your team hiring for Product Managers? Nice vid btw!
yes we are absolutely, dm on linkedin for referral
Hi @arman you are really doing awesome job and inprining all of us
that makes me happy, appreciate it man :)
pls answer me , Which Spécialité/Branche of CS did you studied ?
Will you be doing a video at the LA office?
yes that’s next on the queue :)
Mr I would like to work with technology,I'm an African and I want to travel to the USA a day and work there,so your videos are a motivation for me, keep on bro😭💪🏾
appreciate the love from Africa, wishing you the best :)
cool video🔥
appreciate it ♥️
yasss lov it
haha appreciate you ♥️
Do the work hours go beyond 5 PM frequently [upto 6/7 PM]? I know tiktok pays well though
I would say it depends on what time you start your day, but it definitely can go past with late meetings/busy weeks, it's usually up to the person on how they manage their tasks.
any thought of making a video on budgeting/spending/saving in the corporate workforce?
yea I am huge into personal finance, I will be making a video related to this in the future :)
I am a Newbee for joining TikTok, I really enjoy your video, and brush up for many times, just got a question that can you really get the WLB in TikTok?
WLB at TikTok is tricky but definitely possible with certain tactics and some luck, I will be making a video going more in depth on the work dynamics. congrats on joining, wishing you the best :)
@@armankhondker looking forward to seeing your work dynamic videos soon
I really enjoyed the video. Thank you 💯...is there any job openings. For backend intern or entry level (nodejs) ?
yes we are actively hiring rn, feel free to reach out on linkedin
@@armankhondker okay will do that right away
@@armankhondker can't message because I am not part of your network. I just sent a connection request
@@tecassowebandwebappssoluti4337 sounds good ill take a look soon :)
Im an Accountant that is wanting to pivot into coding/web development. I have it stuck in my head that ill be too "dumb" to learn how to code. What are some indications that I will enjoy or at least understand how to code? Thanks!
I would take an intro programming course and build your first personal project. If you are genuinely excited about learnings/building things, then you have what it takes :)
I read like Lebron got me rolling 🤣
hahaha iykyk :)
Do you need some qa engineers from Serbia? Its hard finding a junior qa position with no prior work experience... Btw awesome video keep it up! :D
you can always apply it never hurts, dm me on linkedin and keep leveling up your skills, appreciate you ♥️
Cool video man. I have been working from home since covid began and just recently they have started back to office once a month. People are absolutely hating it and we all commute a great distance. I notice in your videos that you have to go in but you end up not interacting with anyone else and the office itself looks like nobody is in it. Do you find that its an annoyance to take time out of your work day to commute and do all of the office things when you could save time and money by working 100% remote?
yea I don't show the interactions, but we definitely do collaborate often in person and it is very helpful, but yea agreed if you have zero interaction with your coworkers then it's pretty pointless. I do enjoy a hybrid setup, best of both
@@armankhondker right on yeah I could see hybrid being good with people to bounce ideas off of. Keep up the good work ✌️
@@NichoD3 thank you 🙏🏽
Thinking of making a career change. But the constant upskilling makes it less appealing to me. How do you manage that while working at a big tech? Loving the videos, by the way. Keep it up!
I enjoy constantly learning so it comes naturally to me, and if you are working on a team/product that is exciting I don't think that's an issue, appreciate you ♥️
Hey Arman! Are you constantly moving to different states or you’re permanently based in Seattle at the moment? And you should make an “introductory/who you are video” and how you got to where you are now! :)
Or better yet what made you wanna pursue/major CE in the first place? 😚😌
I am based in seattle, but for these videos I am traveling for work. I plan on making this video soon, appreciate the feedback :)
Do more day in the life vlogs
yes I plan on it :)
nice bro
♥️
I recommend a Apple Magic Keyboard & Trackpad + Hermitshell Travel Case
yea I have a logitech mx keys mini and magic trackpad at my at home desk setup :). I prefer to keep my tech as minimal as possible so I dont use any cases
Wow wow wow. I love this m
appreciate it :)
Jusrt started watching you videos. Did you move every month? lol You have like 4 different cities for your day in the life vids
haha na I am just on work trips to the different offices, I am based in Seattle and work mainly from there :)
