The Notorious B.I.G. channel is the official CZcams home of The Notorious B.I.G. featuring his catalog of official music videos. The Notorious B.I.G. is widely recognized as one of the world’s most influential rappers and has sold more than 17 million albums in the U.S. alone. Before his murder in 1997, Christopher Wallace recorded two classic albums as The Notorious B.I.G. His debut Ready to Die arrived in 1994 and helped revitalize the East Coast rap scene with massive hits like “Big Poppa” and “Juicy.” Life After Death was released in March 1997 just weeks after he was shot and killed in Los Angeles. The record topped the U.S. album charts and featured the hits “Hypnotize” and “Mo Money Mo Problems.” It remains one of the few hip-hop albums to ever achieve Diamond certification from the RIAA. - Hudba
The vibe of this song is something that simply cant be recreated. This is a piece of 90's American culture. Raw, unapologetic, urban music that shifted the western culture. True Hip-Hop classic, timeless music.

Wow youre so original
The most original comment ever
Might not be an original comment, but you ain't wrong..
“F the world, F my Mom’s and my girl!” Even if he didn’t literally mean those words, Big had to be in a very dark place to record that
Crazy I heard those lyrics as I read your comment.
@Nubian Queen 😩🥵🤤 I sure hope not
He's ready to pass on and doesn't need those worldly "possessions" anymore. He's going to a higher plane

I was poor as a teen, but i studied and now got it made. Sometimes i get tired with all the BS at work and listen to this to remind myself i was ready to die when i was poor. It motivates me to keep fighting.
Dude you were ready to die for being broke? That's nothing. I have it much worse and I wanna live at least until I'm 45. I don't want to get old I'll tell you that. 45-50 my limits than I'll prob snap it.

Most underrated song ever! This flow and this voice... can not be recreated - just impossible...
Agreed
Yeah unless it's made by someone who is a rap genius and also ready to die...
This is the title track from one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time - which was made by one of the all time legends of American music.
It's hardly fucking underrated. Lmao
lol i instantly turn from some white dude in scotland into a well built black rapper, its impossible not to get the head moving, there will only ever be one B.I.G
Underrated by whom?
The whole album is timeless but I don’t think people really know how hard this track is. The beat, the flow, the lyrics…one of the best rap songs of all time and I’m not even cappin 🙏🏿
💯
U right 💯 bro
I think we all feel suicidal at times. Biggie was just the first to put it out there. This is a legendary track and is one of his realist.
2pac did it first
👂
There will quite literally never be a rapper to replace this man. Can’t be done. He was incredible.
High key? He's the GOAT. The total package. Flow, lyricism, delivery, wordplay, vibe, smooth as silk.
No one can replace something this great and timelessly great
Replace? Never. But J.Cole is doing big things.

This and life after death the best álbum Of All time
This was a gritty and grimy time in NYC, at this time folks use to go from train cart to train cart robbing people at gun point. This song represents how gritty and dangerous the 90s were on NY. Kids these days would have gotten hot back then.
I can't get over how TALENTED this man was at the age of just 21 years old!!!
He had to grow up fast
This is his greatest song ever. The lyrics, the production, his flow. It's like the most beautiful sounds you've heard with a biggie smalls flavor.
I agree
Not as good since they were forced to swap out the sample on the hook. Find the original 1994 version & compare it. I guess if you never heard the original you can tolerate it, but if you did the hook is completely flat without the original sample in it.
@@steveknick1978 tbh this is facts
I thought I was tripping thinking the same thing bro ✊🏿
Yet to hear a flow better in the year of our lord. Nigga flowing like a Greek god on this.
This is probably my favorite biggie song... the delivery was just flat out ridiculous on each bar
Word!
Facts mine too! You can feel his pain in each verse his energy was everything on this album by far my favorite song
If Aliens would ask "can you explain Biggie Smalls to us?"
Answer:
Biggie Smalls on a higher plane
Niggas say I'm strange, deranged because I put the 12 gauge to your brain
Make your shit splatter - mix the blood like batter then my pocket gets fatter
After the hit - leave you on the street with your neck slit
Down your backbone to where your motherfucking'shit drip
The shit I kick - ripping through the vest Biggie Smalls passing any test
Biggie saw himself first and foremost as a "Hardcore Rapper", my favorite songs gotta be, "Dead Wrong", "Cunt Renaissance" "Ready To Die", "Who Shot Ya?", "Respect". Really really hardcore stuff but those song were not made for radio like "Juicy" or "Big Poppa" lol.
One of the hardest hitting truth tellers ever to grace the genre that is Gangsta Rap. RIP Biggie, you have inspired me beyond words.
30 years later and this album has not aged, ready to die is revolutionary

Ahead of his prime that's who he is
Shit is real, and hungry's how I feel
I rob and steal because the money's got that Whip appeal
Unbelievable! That he could articulate his raps like this at a young age! Way ahead of his time!
I interpret this song beyond the raw, unapologetic and violent lyrics. I interpret it as he's still struggling to let the final things go before passing on. He's using violence, anger and power to keep him going, but he also seems to recognize that his time on earth is complete. He's ready for his body to die, and for his spirit to pass on. It's poetic.
Such a savage flow... We're almost 2020 and my ears are still bleeding
@erock755 ikr
Give ya goosebumps
it's 2020. Never needed it more.
@@garyjohnston6921 agreed
Spoiler alert... 2020 is TERRIBLE
Biggie's lyricism is dark but it is a movie and shows how black folks (whether you are in the hood, in the suburbs, or rich) live.....it feels like a pressure cooker. Biggie is one of the GOATS of hip hop.
You're so right!
Personally speaking, he's my GOAT. As you said, Big revolutionized music when he released "Ready to Die".
Born rich black folk def cant relate
@@some88 Shit I'm white, facing my my fourth drug case... Live in the south born and raised, the only thing is is rich and poor there ain't no between and I really don't care what color you are I'm tired of hearing that mess... Been listening to this guy since I was a teenager back in the 90s and it is true today as it ever was, being born poor is like a disease passed from generation to generation.. ain't got nothing to do with color, people of color for some reason think of somebody looks at them funny that something is up it ain't because of that it's always because people with money look at your ass like you poor whether you black or white and if you are poor white you worse than a poor black in their eyes because you were supposed to be somebody no matter where you came from like me in a raggedy-ass trailer park down here in the south.. one of these days you're going to understand it ain't about color it's always been about money and it's always going to be about money and that's just the way it.. they don't care what color you are if you selling drugs you selling drugs and somebody telling on you then you facing the same s*** as me prison and I'm on that same public defender shit too.. broke is broke you got to be broke to understand broke...
Honestly feel like a lot of people aren't aware of this funnily enough. People think "Juicy" or the other feel good hits. But he was always on that dread rap type shit. It's music to my ears.
"I drop lyrics off and on like a light switch" The Notorious B.I.G. dropping them on my brain.
This song is easily Biggie’s best on the album, hell, to me, this is his best song ever.
I feel every word he spits on this track.
So much passion. Makes me tear up every single time I listen.
The worst part about all of this is that he’s gone...😞
