Wes said that she would always show up at his door when he needed someone, that she was his best friend. So really, she didn't just lose her boyfriend, she lost her bestfriend. And yes, she cheated on him, but the way she grieved shows how close she felt to him and how she truly didn't know how much she loved him until he was gone.
